I'd be surprised. Maybe they mean when it comes to club football? Always thought he'd eventually try to take on the Portugal job.

Wow. This club makes 0 sense. It seems every decision we make it’s worse than the previous one. How do you go from Xabi to Mourinho in a year. Two totally different profiles.

The idea was for Perez to resign. Could explain the intense campaign to get him to resign this season. Perez did well calling it out and asking those who allegedly were behind it to run against him.

Enrique is a coward. Hope he will never become RM president. This clown also thought Pool will thrash RM so came out attacking ZZ on the eve of the match lying he has an agreement with Klopp. Disappeared when that didn't happen. He will only run if/when there's weak candidates like when Calderon won.

Pique will run for Barca presidency once Laporta retires. I see a similar cultural change with RM presidency post Florentino. It will be a big name Madridista like Nadal or Raul whenever Florentino retires.

    Classic.
Never my favorite character-wise but gotta hope Jose gets it right and chills the ******** out a bit. Needs a little Carlo in his chemistry at this point.

I gotta give to you man, you called it when it looked like a ridiculous prediction.

He wouldn't be my first choice, I do understand though why we are turning to him. I dont think this works out the way we hope, but will definitely be fun.

Even the photos used to promote Mourinho are at least from a decade ago because he doesn't even look like that guy anymore. We really are in for a ride.

I think he clearly knows how to coach, but the claws aren't as sharp on the old tiger any more, and I personally think the last thing that will do the club good is Mourinho's ability to yell fire in a crowded theater.

He hasn't handled a premiere club in quite a while, so I don't necessarily think his handling of Fenerbache, Benfica, Roma and Tottenham would translate to Real Madrid.

Top clubs are simply different. At least we will have entertaining presscons. Nothing like what that meme does.

Madrid’s statutes do not require Perez to stand down from his position while an election is prepared, meaning there is no technical reason stopping the club from continuing with key business off the pitch.

Yeah that was my take. He won’t manage another club side but head for the Portugal job

So Jose until 2028 and then Zidane back in the job after the World Cup and Euros adventure with France, when this team has matured a bit?

That's the kind of astute eye for a situation you value from the people that hired Arbeloa.

I think Jose was cornerstone of our later success in his first stint. We were kind of mess before his arrival, he did not bring exciting football or lots of trophies, but i think he managed to build foundation for this team to come and win so many things later. Possibly thinking in hiring him is , maybe he can do the same ? Maybe he can start steering this sinking ship to the right direction?

Expected captain order at Real Madrid next season.

    1. Fede Valverde
    2. Viní Jr.
    3. Thibaut Courtois
    4. Rodrygo

Aside from Tibo, none of them are captain material.
