Youth team is getting dragged through hot coals in Germany for their attitude after losing the final to Dortmund. Definitely not the time to be a bad loser given all that happened.
I don't think he's a crook (I mean they all are in a way). I am more concerned about the people backing him as a storefront for their agendas particularly the snake Iker. Anything he's for, I pick the other side. That said it appears that he's trying to get close to the socios and the media rather than make hollow campaign promises e.g. transfers, coaches, La Fabrica etc. Any new president would be lost with JAS. Like institutional failure lost. I don't see Riquelme ultimately running and even if he does, he'll get thoroughly spanked making Perez's public position even stronger. I hope the elections don't delay the hiring of the coach.
I mean, we put everybody under the microscope that comes close to the office meanwhile Florentino has an entire archive of not so clean business and it's being ignored. Until somebody officially presents his Candidacy and has something of real substance to present I don't really feel like there's much to look into.
Relano, obviously while being somebody Florentino has a deep personal hatred for, said something I feel like was true. The only thing Florentino is doing by making the Negreira case all about himself is mudding up the discussion and making Barca look innocent. That's also the reason why Real Madrid got the same amount of votes for Referee reform as Barca did. If you truly believe that there was manipulation, you don't act exclusively on self interest but you consider the top to bottom impact of relegation, european spots and so on. Punching the entire case through as a "this was a campaign against me" basically removes every other team and competition from the equation and makes you understand why the other clubs felt like Madrid didn't have interest in finding the truth. It is all about gaining an advantage, bullying referees into giving them a soft whistle. Nothing has helped Barca more in the Negreira case than Florentino and his statements in the last 2 days.
All Florentino has done is to motivate Barcelona even more for next season ,another domestic treble incoming
Iker Casillas? The legendary goalkeeper that used to leak info to the press in his last years with the club, now a full time casino and sports betting promotor spamming all his social media with betting ads where he places bets like €20,000 on Spain to win the World Cup - sending a great message to children and susceptible adults alike? That Iker?
Man the entire sport has adopted gambling as it's main source of income after broadcast rights fees. Welcome to 2026. I believe the UK have certain regulations when it comes to sports gambling endorsements but practically all legendary German players promote a gambling website. Kahn, Matthäus, Basler and the list goes on.
🚨💣 BREAKING: PSG are interested in Fede Valverde. They have CONTACTED his entourage. @diarioas pic.twitter.com/pTlp51lPch— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) May 14, 2026
The report also says the player has no intention to leave the club, for those to lazy to click on it and fa victim to click bait.
I know, man... Even Modric is doing these ads in Croatia despite already earning a fortune. I've no illusion over what modern football has become, I mean we literally had bwin on our shirts for years. Still, it's not like we have to like it. It's extra sleezy how aggressive the gambling ads push is from some of the ex players. Iker is now the "ambasador" for stake.com and it's not surprising he's going overboard, with the world cup approaching and whatnot. It's a bit disappointing to see some people downplay the effects of this. I've seen more than a few people wreck their lives over betting debts. To choose to attach your face and life's work to something that abuses people's weaknesses, for a few extra schillings on your bank account... It's truly a reflection on our society. Worst part is how targeted young people and children are with all this. You've got loot boxes in every single video game nowadays, "gamba" streamers on Twitch and Kick, betting ads everywhere during sports broadcasts... Gotta get them early, I guess.
They simply shrug that off and don't care, with a "if you get hooked, that's on you" attitude, as long as I get paid. Pretty disappointing tbh.
Yeah i agree with the sentiment as i don't do sports gamble on principle at this point, Real Madrid is partnered with multiple regional and global gambling partners. Standard text "we promote responsible gambling" included. Sports works by taking the money that's there today - if it's legal it's good enough. The Benq Real Madrid sponsorship is credited to actually tanking their company/being the final nail. The offices used to be opposite of where i was working and in the clearance sale they had about 150 Real Madrid kits with the BenQ Siemens sponsor that they would offer as a present to clients, you had to buy the entire lot though.
Letting go of Valverde would be one of the worst decisions ever. Literally the only player that presses and runs out there. This will be worse than the Makelele departure.
Everything doesn't need to be so hyperbolic. The guy who concussed him also presses and runs out there and boy did we miss him that second leg in Germany.
For sure, Tchou might even run slightly more. And as an attacking midfielder, Jude is highly underrated on this board for his defensive coverage, even if his offensive play didn't live up to people's standards this season.
An author and sort of cult fan of the club that has published multiple books about it said today "i had never heard of this person until yesterday". That pretty much says everything you need to know. That i didn't know about him seems perfectly fine, but a person that's in the stadium every other week doesn't. Boy oh boy. I've often said that my personal connection point to Real Madrid is the basketball department, and i haven't heard from a single person there that knows more about this guy than we do. haha.
The sports betting thing is yet another guardrail of society being trampled over. I have too many teenagers in my classes that get hyper fixated on it. But of course very few are worried about tomorrow.
In the future historians will look back and wonder how on earth this type of corruption was allowed to spread with effectively no opposition. I have turned down business working with sports betting and video gambling proprietors because I refuse to be part of it.
Does Vintinha come the other way? Fede to me, is a hustle merchant. Shrinks when the pressure is applied and can’t play a pass forward.
