To be fair, it was also for calling for elections which is more significant and deserving of a press conference. Agree with everything else you said though. Does anyone know whether this delays the decision of appointing the next manager until after elections or when the elections would be?
it look like those Until elections are done, no new business basically. The manager would be appointed by new president
🚨 Florentino Perez: "There are some BAD PEOPLE at the club who LEAK things, we have IDENTIFIED THEM. I'll take care of them, leave them to me." pic.twitter.com/tuS3Hh9Rv2— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) May 12, 2026 Something tells me it might not be a player
Something tells me someone gets scapegoated and then this gets swept under a rug and we just move on business as usual. There's no way this isn't a player(s).
we have the mothers, fathers, girlsfriends of the players calling him to complain that certain players are not playing but yeah the players are not leaking information to the press
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cglpz8endl9o BBC sports shared Jose Mourinho is in final negotiations to join Real Madrid. I consider that a done deal. BBC is usually right about these things.
All this is just adding to the chaos.. Some of Florentino's statements if translated correctly at what I am seeing makes it like the fans are ungrateful.. Prezi, two things can be true at the same time, fans are spoiled yes, but these players defo have an attitude issue. I'm more concerned that he was annoyed at the leak itself than the fight..
Also true: without these supposed "entitled" fans and socios Perez would be just another rich contractor. Real Madrid is the institution that it is today because of its fans and socios.
For some brighter news, I’m taking my 4 month old baby girl to her first Real Madrid game against Bilbao on the 23rd
🚨 Dani Ceballos is reportedly the Real Madrid MOLE. 🤯He told several people ALL the details of the training ground fight between Aurélien Tchouaméni and Fede Valverde. 😭(Source: Estadio) pic.twitter.com/mhwBDv4qSW— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) May 12, 2026
I think there are three factions. The Spanish players, and then those that support Vini, and then Mbappe.
Rui Costa won Benfica elections after signing Mourinho as coach. Opponent promised another coach, I think. Mou's buyout clause is only valid until May 26 so I reckon he will be signed as new coach before the election date. If there's an opponent, he will campaign claiming an agreement with another coach.
“Arbeloa has lost the dressing room. If at the beginning it was almost an advantage, because of the good rapport he had with the players, everything has changed recently. There is a total lack of trust in the lineups and the substitutions; everything is viewed negatively.” Full article
I think the Junior party understands that Perez loves him as a spoiled grandson and he currently wields a lot of "power". Deep down though, I am certain they hate his guts. We spent years hearing how beloved and respected Fede was in the dressing room, yet the second the Tchouameni altercation leaks surfaced, those same players suddenly turned on him and started demanding he be pushed out over repeated misconduct.
