Valverde stinks as a RB. here. I said it. He's had one or two games that caught teams by surprise then he got torched. The games that he played well in were games in which he created a lot of turnover by moving laterally to intercept passes, teams figured he's not a RB and started playing the ball behind his back to put him on a foot race and you're pretty much sending him out to get humiliated that way. He should be playing there in a pinch, not because the club figured the depth is somebody that's had chronic injury issues for years and Carvajal.
Completely agree, he is an average RB. He's also struggled against quicker LWs when he had to go against them one on one.

I don't think we need a coach with this group of players. They're already proven serial "winners", they've won without Klopp, Allegri and Pochenntino. The players can coach themselves. Why bring someone who makes them "unhappy", forces them to watch 15 min videos or has "unconvincing" tactics and subs?
🚨 Juni Calafat's work over the last 2 seasons has WEAKENED his status inside the club. His position is now in doubt. @Rodra10_97 pic.twitter.com/K7F9yDnuy4— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) March 9, 2026 What about Pintus and his team? What about the medical department? What about the Dr’s?
There is always a scapegoat. Calafat is the next one. The club wants to convince us that Trent was his idea. Calafat, like any other recruiter, made some good deals and others that were failures. Perez is the ultimate decision maker.
Well it will get to the point where Perez will run out of people to shove under the bus. If not this summer then next summer.
Pintus has to the worse modern trainer in football. He’s absolutely tragic and it’s no coincidence our guys started to drop when he took charge again. Time for him to retire. Football has passed him by.
I agree, but I also believe the underlying message is that they need to accept they aren't all cooks.
It’s worse than the next club by far and these people like Pintus are to blame. No coincidence they started dropping like flies again when he came on board

🚨 Javier Tebas: “Starting next season, we will insert a chip inside the ball, that determines if the player was offside at the exact moment the ball was hit.We don't want it to depend on what frames are being used.We want to make offside detection FULLY AUTOMATIC.” pic.twitter.com/OHBr9znCSZ— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 9, 2026
Any more info on that? I am guessing you can detect when the ball was passed, but how is the ball supposed to help detect a line that's ahead of it?
The lines are currently being drawn by the semi-automatic tech in place. Leaving the only human interaction being to determine when to pause the screen at point of contact.
Every day I’m more disillusioned with the club and the vision for the future. It feels like we’re on the brink of a major fork in the road and I’m not sure I trust Florentino or the board to make the right call. I want neither of those people running the club, and if that’s Florentino’s idea of succession, he needs to step aside this summer and call an election. Neither of those two have the club’s sporting success in mind, and Real Madrid is a sporting institution as much as they try to make it a corporation.
