The problem is that they probably don't realize that they are not Modric, Kroos, Ronaldo or Benzema. Not even close. So, turned out that they have big egos, but it doesn't match their skills... The B team midfield in 16/17 imo was way better. I would put them in the same ballpark as Kovacic and Illaramendi while James and Isco are levels above all our midfielders.
Mendy expected to start tomorrow. Which means he’ll be injured after the game and miss the next 10 games.
Real Madrid ranked worse than Stuttgart, Como and Hoffenheim in ESPN's power rankings. Ranked 13th. I'm surprised it wasn't worse. Real Madrid's season is straight up unraveling, so I would say take it with a grain of salt, but this is actually flattering for this rubbish squad. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_...europe-best-teams-power-ranking-bill-connelly
🚨 Iván Helguera (Former Real Madrid player): "Raúl spent many years in the reserves… Out of nowhere, they promote a guy who's never trained in the first team, which is Arbeloa.""And that same day, they'd just lost 4-1 in Primera RFEF with Castilla. It's all a complete cluster… pic.twitter.com/sRuBG7P8Pw— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) March 6, 2026
Gemini doesn't have to spend the money to secure that coach, and all the players that are supposed to bring this turnaround. Truth is the club most likely can't afford it and they don't develop well enough in advance to have the security.
There is some noise on social media that the Bernabeu's removable pitch system and the grass used is at least partially responsible for the abnormal injuries we've seen at the club. I think at least 3-4 of the 6 ACL have happened at home. Tottenham fans also having similar discussions.
The 49ers players also thought they are getting injured because of "electric interference". Everybody in the sport has injuries. Barca just lost Kounde and Balde for weeks. Everybody is trying to big brain their own injuries when the entire sport is crippled.
Just used AI, dunno how accurate this is: (last 3 years) Club ACL Injuries (Approx. 2023–2026) Real Madrid 7 (Courtois, Alaba, Militao x2, Carvajal, Rodrygo, J. Martinez) Chelsea 4-5 Barcelona 3 (Gavi, Marc Bernal, plus long-term meniscus/ACL concerns) Man City 2 (Rodri, plus youth players) Arsenal 2 (Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Jesus)
In the Bale episode Neville, Scholes and Keane pretty much confirmed it was the same during the Alex Ferguson days. Bale basically said we did nothing tactically unless we were playing a Barca or Pep (City/Bayern) and even then it was a 15 min tactical session which mainly focused on defensive structures since they knew they could handle the attack. He said one thing they were good at when they played Pep was their ability to put their egos aside and accept they won't get much of the ball and just revert to a low block and counter attacking football.
Juat seen how quickly UEFA moved to sanction the club over the idiots national salute.... Bravo. Odd, I have literally never seen them move quickly when stadiums are doing racist chanting or gestures? I wonder why
🚨 UEFA have fined Real Madrid €15,000 & gave them a suspended partial stadium closure if the offence is repeated. This comes after a fan was seen doing a n**zi gesture. @COPE pic.twitter.com/xt9HId1BCb— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 6, 2026
How quick are they moving on the Benfica and their racist fans? I mean, couldn't be any clearer really.

I was thinking about how you keep saying this is our own inherent bias because it's our team, when I was watching this clip, and out of the 16 teams, the ONLY team he mentions injuries is us, and it's all he cites (granted he is speeding through them) for why he predicts we go out. Coming from a neutral, it's a relevant indicator that's it not just "in our heads." https://www.youtube.com/shorts/qw0wMsUnWlc
Our next run of games will define our season. Either we are out or we fight to live another day 4 games left before International Break:🏠 Manchester City🏠 Elche✈️ Manchester City🏠 Atletico MadridWhole season could be decided. 😬 pic.twitter.com/gROD6KU931— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) March 6, 2026 This is where they have to walk the talk. No more disjointed pressing, more concentration, more clean sheets etc. Getting a win against City will be HUGE. Get at least a draw and I am happy
It is illuional to beat Manchester City. Given all of the injured players and the way we've been playing in the past month, it will be a miracle. My only hopes are to have 100% run in La Liga and then have better squad to face Barcelona.
