Arda will flourish at another club, that has better structure and patterns of play. Our offense is dreck. It’s hero ball. Move the ball to the wing, let Vinny beat the first defender (look off the overlap from Carreras) he then holds the ball, gets doubled, and then cuts to the byline where there is no angle for a pass or he has to float the ball to the opposite side. Mbappe used to make the off ball runs, but for some reason stopped. We have two static MF in Tchoumeni and Fede next to Arda. The RW doesn’t make runs either. What are we expecting from Arda, when his ability relies on quick line breaking passing no one moves?
I think Arda is physically still couple of years away. Will he get 5 seasons in total at RM given he'd be expecting a lot of minutes like this season next term as well while we will be adding a midfielder or two.
🚨 Camavinga is still suffering from severe toothaches. @AbrahamPRomero pic.twitter.com/8A8sNhszTZ— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 4, 2026 The shit we’re dealing with. Everyone goes to work with severe toothache at least once in their life. ********ing babies. The lot of em.
Maybe we don't know the full picture so don't jump to such conclusions? People were ripping Rodrygo as being soft and weak but very few players can play with a torn knee ligaments and I know because I actually have. I get your anger but with how bad we are ran we really don't know what is what. What we do know us we force guy's early to play and our system is bad and leads to great fatigue and injury.
Just for sanity reasons, this season needs to end. Playing resident evil requiem with lights out is like a Pixar movie compared to watching this team.
Wild that people don't understand this. We're allergic to making runs and have been for a very long time. Like you said, Mbappe was making runs so of course Arda was cutting the lines with beautiful service. The run always dictates the pass.
How many of those toothache people receive a cross from Trent or Carreras flying at breakneck speed with their head at work?
He was relevant back in 2017. Honestly, the names being thrown around, we should have just stuck with Carlo.
🗣️ Gareth Bale: “Zidane - Ancelotti? Zidane got huge respect for what he was as a player.Carlo’s man-management was the best, even if you were not playing, he would make you feel like you’re his best-mate. He had that ability to keep everyone happy and willing to do everything.… pic.twitter.com/h8oGyd8jok— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 5, 2026 🗣️ Gareth Bale: “I was not suprised when Xabi got sacked. At Real Madrid, if you do too much, the players don’t want to… you just need to be a great man manager, not an amazing tactician.” pic.twitter.com/CjSHdJe7pr— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 5, 2026 🗣️ Gareth Bale: “Zidane? He didn’t do that much in tactics: we would do minimal - training, possesion game, shooting and you go.15 minutes of tactics in defensive shape. But he got the respect from what he was as a player. He would join in during training, he even dropped me… pic.twitter.com/KsIhjVFU19— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 5, 2026
It can lead to systemic inflammation which can then increase susceptibility to injuries. Many forget that the human body is a system.
Sandro Wagner described Heynckes the way Bale describes Zidane. Barely spoke, but when he did it was important and everybody shut up and listened.
I want to switch the convo to the design of our new stadium. I think i saw someone said it here few months ago and i totally agree - its ugly, nothing special, uninspired. Thank god i was able to go to the old Bernabeu and do the tour few years ago before the reconstruction, because i remember how breathless i was when i was finally on the street infront of the stadium... Now when i went i looked that metal can of a design and it felt just meh. How can the board and our President really choose that design ? Or am i the only one who thinks it looks like a tuna metal can and surely it could've been 100x times better from the outside. Ps. I really liked it from the inside, its definitely upgraded from what i remember it was the old one from the tour.
I think the problem starts with Vinny’s hero ball. You literally see the entire team stop when he gets the ball, as they know he’s not going to pass quickly after beating his first man. I’ve been saying this that as a forward - Mbappe or the RW, it’s impossible to play with a chaos agent like Vinny. If he just had a better IQ he’d have 30 assists easy a season. This hero ball mentality just permeates the entire squad and destroys whatever off ball movement exists.
Ivan Helguera: “The situation hasn’t changed much at all, and in fact, it’s gotten worse. Sacking Xabi made no sense, and if you sack him, you need to have a coach ready who knows how to handle this , not some kid from the reserve team who hasn’t coached and doesn’t know how to deal with this,” he said regarding the coaching change. “Raúl spent many years in the reserve team and was never promoted. Now they're promoting a guy who's never coached in the First Division, Arbeloa,” Helguera points out, adding: “I think Raúl would have handled this better because he's been captain , he's been through this situation, and he had personality. I don't think Arbeloa was the right person.” Regarding Xabi Alonso, he analyzed that the team's play with him wasn't the best, but he had his strengths: "I wasn't liking how they were playing, but tactically, especially defensively, they were a difficult team to beat ." Because, in his opinion, he should have been given credit "until February or March": "I think he would have won the Albacete match and the Lisbon match as well. I think they were too hasty in sacking him." http://as.com/futbol/videos/rajadas...elguera-contra-arbeloa-y-el-madrid-f202603-v/
🚨 BREAKING: Max Allegri will only coach Real Madrid next season if the club brings back Luka Modric.— @tuttosport pic.twitter.com/DyYclu4UQ5— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) March 5, 2026 Thankfully Allegri links to us was bullshit then.
This whole, at Madrid you dont coach business, does that apply to our current crop of players? A player of Modric, Kroos, Ronaldo or Benzemas level probably doesnt need much coaching, but Valverde, Jude, Camavinga are much less established, much younger, and still looking for a proper role on the team. Mbappe and Courtois aside, this pretty much applies to most players on the team. Vinicius is the most established aside from those two, and probably the most resistant to coaching, but his play could use guidance he is becoming very one dimensional. Our midfield especially needs coaching, Jude/Fede/Camavinga/Guler are still trying to figure out their best role here and internationally. The ego might be there because they are Real Madrid players, but the caliber of a Real Madrid is not the same as 5 years ago.
The difference was that you manage the egos and the players would perform. You manage these egos and unfortunately they aren't good enough to consistently put together a campaign. Also, Fede isn't a youngster anymore. He's in his physical prime now.
