Part of the reason the form has been shit is the constant position changes for players. Hopefully Xabi defines their roles let the players get used to their new position. Stick to one formation and only change it if the need really calls for a change, certainly not every next game. Completely disagree about Valverde's best games were RB.
But since Aug 2024 and up until the injury of both Trent and Carvajal he's been at CM and he's been mostly awful.. If Xabi has his way, Fede has no place in the XI but until Xabi grows a pair (e.g. wins something or gets true club backing), Fede will play at CM doing weird sh!t and he'll be a RB when we don't have Trent or Carvajal..there, role defined
Most of the clearcut chances against Elche and Bilbao came through Trent. Even switch play doesn't happen much through the midfield with Jude, Tcho and Fede. Camavinga executes it once in a while. Only solution about creativity problem without Trent would be to play Arda as AM and Jude deeper and Fede at RB. Camavinga winning the ball back right away suffocated Bilbao in the first half.

I agree, I just wish we didn't use officiating as an excuse when we play like shit and lose. There were games last season where we genuinely had some BS thrown at us by officials, and it played a large roll in us blowing our lead in La Liga. Carlo and the lads got screwed big time.
