    I mean

regardless of what we think of Franco, there is no sure starter at RW and he can also be fielded at right midfield (which midfield is usually one of the most rotated spots)

Endrick is the sub for Mbappe, the best striker in the world who is also in top form.

Endrick just came back from injury as well. I am not saying he shouldn’t have minutes. I’m saying the circumstances are SOOO different. He should be compared to Garcia

Right but that has nothing to do with Franco lol

he should have some minutes where he should have came in for Mbappe and such but I don’t see what Franco has to do with that

I think the problem is that Franco is also a KID but doesn't need to climb a mountain to prove himself to Xabi. That's what Brazilian commentators were saying. Sure, they occupy different roles, but ZERO MINUTES? That's quite weird. He has recovered from his injury a while ago.

lol I never know when you are being sarcastic as I know you don’t rate the player high, so maybe neither does Xabi?

Franco's workrate is what keeps him in the starting eleven. There's plenty he needs to work on, and that's fine because he's just arrived in Europe.

I'm not sure you are not giving Xabi too much credit or too much blame here. If Endrick hasn't gotten any minutes so far this season, two months and 10 games in, then it's probably coming down from above.

Part of my theory is that Flo will want to sabotage the entire Brazil nation team to make it look like he was wise to fire Carlo, not renew Vinicius, sell Rodrygo and bench Endrick.

There's a bit of commotion that we cooperated with Como to allow them to turn down 70 million euro for Paz after Tottenham basically made an offer como felt was hard to resist, by signing an improved buyback with them, greasing the wheels a little bit.

I think Endrick should still be in Palmeiras. There's no way he would join Mbappe's Real Madrid and get decent minutes.

Having said that, zero minutes is just cruel. Especially with Franco getting automatic starter status. He's not that good.

Didn't we always ask for players to earn minutes?

Sure, I'm not saying Endrick deserves it just for being in the team longer than Franco. I'm just saying it's weird to give him zero minutes while Franco gets automatic starter status by messing up 80.6% of his dribble attempts.

Just like any coach, Xabi has favorites. Tchouameni and Guler are another of his two favorites.

I think the coach will play the guys he feels the most comfortable playing. Publically it's going to be "we love everybody and we will need everybody" but it's like saying "I like all music" which is a lie to get out of a music discussion.

Has always been the way no matter what team what coach what era, was amusing to see "favourites" being brandished as some sort of attack on our former coach like it was something new and disturbing....did folks start watching football yesterday....

Favorites alludes to liking guys for who they are rather. Always found that weird especially since I'm sure there's coaches that have told players they are good people but not good enough.

That’s the crux of the argument. Franco is pretty poor with some of his turnovers and decision making. Which is expected, he’s 18 and coming to a new league.

If you’re a coach, you need to hold a minimum standard. If it’s not applied equally, it causes fractures within the dressing room.

I'll say what i said for Carlo. The coach sees these players all week, they know how they work, look, and behave. He knows who can win him games, who gets rewarded with what kind of minutes. He spend more time with them than with his family.

If you want Xabi to succeed, you give him the trust to give a player he isn't comfortabe with the freedom to give ZERO minutes to.

If that's Endrick, or Courtois is irrelevant. There's no half pregnant. You either trust the coach or you don't.

F that. Xabi hasn't done nearly enough to have that kind of credit with Florentino and the Board, especially given the history of the club.

We caved to Mourinho with this kind of thing and when it all went sideways people knew why managers had such a short leash but at the time Mou's stock was at an all time high while the club's was at a low point, that's harldy the situation now.

Heck Carlo came into an even worse situation because of Mourinho, turned it all around in less than a year and his reward was Bale and his agent coaching the team from the President's box while being forced to play Martin Odegaard and break Raul's youngest player record (set with a different President gross!).

Well you also have to consider who are their competitions for the minutes.

Endrick had Mbappe ahead of him. Mr. Tonto had Brahim.

Fede needs to be moved to RWB. That is where he gets to play his best football.

He needs convincing but he’s our RWB now for the best 5 years or so.
