I have a lot of patience for young players but i am losing it for Camavinga very quickly and he isn't young (in footballing terms) anymore. Time is now my guy or get ready to have a wonderful career at Tottenham and then BVB.
At the risk of inviting the wrath of this forum, i think he does not have good ball IQ. He has all the ability, we have all seen it. Athleticism and all that. To me it seems like he has not learnt one thing since he joined us, he's the exact same player i saw at Rennes, adding a bad injury record was the only thing he added as a player. He NEEDS to take a step up and we will even take a small step but it has to be in the right direction or like i mentioned, Tottenham is always there for players like that. Tweeners like him always face an uphill task in their development anyway. He needs to get serious, now-ish.
Agreed. Dwells on the ball in dangerous deep positions, and when he moves the ball up seems to never look up until he's fouled or runs into a wall. He's spoken before about Deschamps telling him to get coaching on reading his surroundings and positional awareness, so hopefully he recognizes and is working on these weaknesses.
I agree. It’s disappointing because he should and could have been learning way more from someone like Luka during his time here. The really troubling thing I see (apart from the frequent injuries) is he has totally lost confidence lately, and that’s a slippery slope for any player at Real Madrid. I hope Xabi is able to help him piece his game together because he has so much raw talent.
Yep. It's such a disappointment as well. You didn't even mention how he's completely useless off the ball with horrible spacing and positioning.
Bummer because we really needed to develop playmaker of our own as world class transfer options like Xabi, Kroos and Modric doesn't pop up that often. Cama hasn't taken the step yet. We developed Fede into world class midfielder but he's not playmaker profile. Tcho great defensively when engaged but not really a press resistant playmaker. Ceballos never developed quick decision making. Jude likes crashing into the box and score as much as he can like Lampard. Some idiot scout at RM passed on Pedri during trial saying he's too small. Arda has the skillset, but needs to develop core strength like Modric and Iniesta to play CM position. Maybe Modric and Iniesta didn't have it at 19-20. Cesc had it. Franco has the physique and skillset to be Isco type hybrid midfielder, but maybe it's too early for him due to age and lack of experience in Europe.
It's funny when i see fans say the coach should focus on improving X player or Y player, but as i was watching Köln's preseason the first thing the coach told the team was that they don't have the time to teach them to play. The goal is to help them perform better as a team and look better while doing so individually, but there simply is no time to pick everybody by the hand and teach them how to play football.
The coach has a whole team that can give players individual attention. Ferguson had technical coaches working with Cristiano to improve his finishing, Vinicius supposedly also gets extra practice on finishing (hopefully it'll show one day )
Sure but at the end of the day there's enough day to day stuff where the goal simply won't be to sit down and teach a guy how to play. There's pressure to win and if there's somebody on the team that delivers, that's who the attention goes to.
Hope this precedent is just for CWC as it was a summer tournament. That's not what is being suggested here though, is it? You may do that with some players who need guidance, but you're not going to teach Vini or Mbappe or Fede how to play football.
You probably have to read between the lines here. Real Madrid is paying off the city with a 20ME check that they can funnel to their economic development friends and later on it will be discovered in a report that the trees that were planted absorb some of the sound and reduce not only the level of air pollution by also noise pollution in and around the stadium. The "report" of course will be sensitive government information with national security risks, so the actual results of the study will never be made public.

Bernabeu's outdoor lighting work will begin this summer. The enveloping aluminum shell surrounding the stadium will feature 10,000 RGB LED lights that will transform it into a living, dynamic surface. It will be able to project light, color, and movement thanks to the video mapping technique used. Each set of slats that make up the Bernabéu's shell will integrate two precisely distributed spotlights . To provide the best performance, the workers will have to clean and paint the slat shafts during the summer before installing the luminaires. This meticulous work precedes the most visible phase of the project: the initial tests . The Santiago Bernabéu is already preparing its gala dress for the big nights. From the surrounding area, the initial tests can be seen following the installation of some luminaires in the Castellana Tower and Concha Espina . https://www.marca.com/futbol/real-m...abeu-fachada-cobra-vida-nuevo-anillo-led.html
