Correct but there is a chance they can lose so until it's over, i doubt we'd start the youth as we've not done it all season
This is Fortea: Maybe he's wrapping up his diploma, because it doesn't look like he's playing football.
Fortea is refusing to renew. Probably out the door. Not sure about Aguado. The next president really needs to revamp Castilla. There is no reason why we can't grab a few players to fill in every once in a while. I know Carlo is allergic to using Castilla but its insane how there seems to be no coordination at all between the first and 2nd teams.
From what i've seen we're already grabbing players to fill in with Castilla, we have a couple players on the Castilla roster that are older than first team players. Our youth department is a storefront. We get those solid 6/10 players, polish them up, make a decent fee out of it.
While I wanted to keep rodrygo, after his season it's time to sell so him ACTUVLY not wanting to play for us is great as it speaks of his intent and faster to get rid of. I have never cared about the prices, the club can deal with that.
Another silver lining for this season ending: Lord Lucas Vazquez won't be around next season to give out freebies.
What sport does LV play, then? Directly responsible for 8/16 goals in 4 Clasicos and he'd still start in a 5th if there was one. A traffic cone glued onto the pitch would have been an upgrade over LV, let alone a talent like Fortea. Keep reading your complimentary dossiers and simping.
Fortea's just a pawn in the chess match between the President and Carlo. Carlo of course trying to win titles and save his job, the President trying to sabotage him so he can hire a new manager, someone younger and kooler. Fortea's name started appearing in January when the transfer window was open even tho everyone knows he ain't good enough, but the end game being more ammunition to use against Carlo. Either he doesn't play and it's "Carlo refuses to use perfectly good players" or he does play, fails miserably and it becomes "Carlo can't develop talent."
Whatever makes you this frustrated, i hope it goes away. Fortea has played less minutes in the youth system than Guler has played in the first team. If we're looking for a player to promote, shouldn't we promote somebody that is playing? That's what i don't get.
Real Madrid have only TEN outfield players available for the game vs Mallorca. Practically playing WITHOUT substitutes.
Fortea isn’t even playing for Castilla so I doubt it’s something between Flo and Carlo. While I think Carlo can do better with using youth, I don’t blame him for not choosing a guy who plays for Juvnil A. Could be Raul doesn’t rate him at all and refuses to play/promote him.
Even Asencio wasn't a blue chip, Spain international youth team prospect, his ascent was mostly a surprise. We barely have any true international super talents in the academy right now. I often remember Christopher Schorch who joined Castilla under the idea that he'd be a future first team player and I read an interview years later that they joined the first team in training all the time but he knew right away he'd never play for Real Madrid the way everybody was flying around him. Said the jump in levels is enormous. He was friends with Szalai who had a decent enough career after he left us.
Kroos: "We had a season like this in 2019, everybody was supposed to be sold, it was the end of a cycle, three consecutive CL trophies were completely written off and forgotten. You just have a season like that, it is what it is. I'm still convinced, if the club is smart this summer, and that's a REQUIREMENT, then the club and the team will be back where they belong sooner than later".
I think we can all agree to this, particularly with the "REQUIREMENT" part. We don't need an overhaul, we need to address several positions that should havd been addressed 1 or 2 years ago. I'm convinced we'll be fine.
Exactly my point. Why on earth would Carlo call him up? LOL Just because Boeder and others have logged multiple hours on Football Manager, doesn't actually make him a good player and as I've always said, if they were good, they'd be called up. They are just not.
Of course it is. It's football. You either win or lose but the club management have to act and put right what they have done so wrong the last 2 seasons IMO
There was a news article about a Juvenil A game between Barca and Valencia that apparently had almost as many scouts as fans, with million euro valuations thrown around on some of these guys. I rarely see our guys profiled like that, or us having sort of a big prospect that gets national attention. I just think our best guys leave early and eventually come back. It's hard to sell a guy on being parked in the third division if he can play in Germany or Italy.
Lunin injured now and out for tonight. 🚨 Out of tonight's game: - Lunin- Lucas Vazquez - Carvajal - Alaba- Militão - Rüdiger - Mendy- Camavinga - Tchouameni - Vinicius- Rodrygo pic.twitter.com/cgvS3vrjNy— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 14, 2025
I don't think it's about individual players, just feel like a large part of the team took themselves past their limits and now there's a lack of focus going on especially with the coach out. Game is going to have really low attendance as well. In a way those 3 games are the penalty everybody has to serve for the season.
🚨 NEW: Antonio Pintus has an offer from JUVENTUS.But, his priority is Real Madrid, even in a position other than the 1st team. @relevo pic.twitter.com/Q24xu6avFG— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 14, 2025
