When the hell are these games starting. All this time off is good (essential) for our players but isn't great for my fellow madridistas. We out here talking about numbers and shit and figuring out what formation Xabi played in a behind closed door practice match vs Leganes in which Mendy scored from behind the halfway line, so far behind the halfway line that he was actually in his home because he's injured.
Obvious and only choice. When this guy comes good the narrative will change to "everyone knew he would succeed" and "he has always been supported and the fans always believed".
YoungCrack... How can anyone see this and think this guy should be moved to Castilla or loaned?? This is the performance of an 18-year old who didn't get consistent minutes at the biggest club in the world. Seriously fans are either deluded or stupid. We're impressed when young talent does this at small European clubs but don't value it at our own. I don't know if it's because he is Brazilian and people are mad at Vini and Rodrygo performances but just SMFH. Seriously, if this kid's name was DiMaggio and he did this with bayern, City or Milan the same people saying he isn't good would be talking about how we never have the young gems.
An 18-year old who trapped rhe ball with his quad then finished with a goal. When maturity hits this kid is going to be a machine
I fully agree. Xabi has to find him valuable minutes. The club invested a lot of money because they felt he was highly talented. He has shown some of his talent already in a mess of a season. Now it is up for the manager to find him more time, which shouldn't be too difficult.
Well this means the club is definitely betting on him, and showing faith in him. I hope this works out. I am one of those that believe he needs much more playing time to develop, than what he can get playing behind Mbappe. But hopefully I'm wrong.
García had a good tournament but let's not forget Carlo didn't exactly treat Endrick fairly or give him adequate game time. I saw enough of Endrick last season to see that there is something there and definitely not writing him off.
He was kind of shit when he played tougher opposetion, Sevilla, Mallorca, Getafe, he played for over an hour in each of those and was totally average. Which makes sense because he's mostly a mascot, hard to suddenly come out blazing.
He also scored in both starts against Real Sociedad. It was a messy situation last season for the team with Mbappe himself was struggling for 3 months to find rhythm and Carlo wasn't a coach known for rotating especially with youngsters.
I remember when he came on and scored a brace against Celta Vigo. Two brilliant finishes to get us over the line to advance in the CdR.
Didn't really think much of Endrick last season, with one of his lowlights being a pretty meh performance against some 3rd or 4th division side in the CDR. I think some of the expectations got to me, especially with Yamal around. Thinking about it clearly, he's scoring something like 15 goals as a starter. There's some good stuff in his highlight portfolio; regular playing time and a lot of those cannon shots are going in.
CR9. We’ve had some shit players wear the 9 as well though tbh … Soldado The 9 timeline since the 90s is legendary though, Hugo Sanchez, Zamorano, Suker, Morientes, Ronaldo, Soldado, Saviola, Cristiano, Benzema, Mbappe now Endrick. Very few hiccups.
I know you don't rate him and you're rightfully pessimistic about this era of Brazilian players, but I really think this young man is special. I think he'll make all of us happy.
I don’t always agree with @hector_br But when I do it’s about the current crop of Brazilian talent and Bobby
