The kid said Bobby Charlton and a response to that was maybe because he's thinking about playing in the EPL in the future
Lol exactly. Who gives a shit? It's like you complimenting Pele and me telling you that you shouldn't because you didn't watch him play weekly. Uh... okay. Who cares.
It's not about caring. It's just amusing to see a 17-year-old Brazilian dude saying Bobby Charlton is his idol or that his father wanted to call him Di Stefano. It's actually hilarious. He's trying harder than Youngstars trying to convince us he's some kind of elite-mentality bro, and we don't get how he and Endrick think because we haven't achieved what they have HAHAHAHA. Endrick is like that hipster friend we all have and roll our eyes at when he brings up that obscure 70s prog rock band when we just want to listen to some generic dad rock classic and have fun.

So Neymar is the worst player out of the ones listed lol. To be fair, as a Brazilian and a Madrid player, unfair to ask him that.

HAHAHA Some hilarious memes coming out. I love the one that goes: "Yeah, the 1938 World Cup was the best." On a side note: Keep an eye on Vitor Reis from Palmeiras. Great CB. I think he could be our solution for the CB position. Give him a few seasons and he could replace someone like Alaba.
Yea, I hope Juni stats looking at Brazilian CB options. They have produced some good ones in recent years.
I don't follow this stuff closely, are these serious answers or tongue in cheek, joking replies because he's bored or something
Neither tongue in cheek nor serious. It's just his PR team trying to paint him as a football hipster. From claiming his father would name him Di Stefano (a pretty unknown player in Brazil) to listing Bobby Charlton as one of his favorite players, Endrick has become a meme in football-related communities. He also said Brazilian players could be on vacation but decided to "train under the sun" to win Copa America as if they were doing a favor to the Brazilian people. He also said he does not need a psychologist because God is his psychologist (which was nice because it made lunatics angry. [I love how most Olympic medalists are all Christians and credit God for their prizes as well, it's driving people nuts]). This guy is like a bullshit machine gun. As a comparison, I haven't even heard Estevão's voice. I don't know what he sounds like because he does not generate media interest. Nobody talks to him, making him 10000x already more likable than "media darling" Endrick.
I can rationalize this comment . Football players make a lot of money. With that comes also extreme criticisms for when they lose, many of which are unfair. A popular cheap criticism from sports "journalists" in Brazil after a loss or elimination is "this generation / players don't care about playing for the NT" . No matter how much they actually ran on the field. So this comment from Endrick is almost like a auto self defense statement against those type of critics. It comes off wrong .. but I see where it comes from.

Man, when Barca players get memed this place lights them up just as much as anybody else but when Madrid players do they are babies that deserve Motherly love and protection. Endrick is cringe but he's young so there's a high chance he'll get to be comfortable with himself later on.
No one said that so please stop. It’s simple, focusing so much time dissecting the tweets and instagram posts of a 17-18 year old is dumb.
