SV isinvoking his anti jinx skills like with Vini. Explosiveness and powerful shot is what stood out with Endrick in the league winning run. I wouldn't even call Rodrygo slow let alone Endrick.

Comes across like, (especially if you are a Brazilian but not only them) It's a, "if you're not as quick as Vin you are slow" thing, of course this makes about 90% of all players in the world ...... slow, odd

Endrick : "Psychologists? My psychologist is God. I don't need to open my heart to anyone else. I have God in my life, and I don't need to vent to someone else who doesn't even know my parents, who doesn't even know me. So, I just have to pray. And for me, my therapists are really my family."

So great to see Reddit having a meltdown over this, lol. I'm glad Christianity comforts Endrick and his family.
Modern psychology is a scam anyway.

Some of the most toxic and unstable people I’ve ever met are hardcore Christians

It’s a naive answer from him. That’s like saying I don’t need a doctor, I have God. That’s why everyone in church is healthy I guess…

And this is not a shot at Christianity. People are people. Vinicius is Christian from what I’ve seen and you’ve criticized his behavior often because at the end of the day, saying I have God is not a real life solution to problems

I'm just laughing because if he mentioned some African religion instead of the Christian God, people would be all drooling over his balls. His Christianity bothers people, and that's hilarious.

Does it? Most South American players are heavily Christian. I think people are used to it by now

I'll be honest, he is an 18 yr old who grew up in an ultra-religious family. Not surprised he has this stance but I can imagine it'll change in 10 yrs from now. I feel like its weird to hyper-analyze some of the things he says the way people on reddit and social media do.

You would think he said all therapists/psychologists should die with the way people were reacting on Reddit.

Also this is an quote from an interview February thats now making the rounds. Nothing new.

I mean Endrick leads a modern lifestyle compared to Kaka and his ex wife who let everyone know in multiple interviews that both kept virginity until marriage. Not to mention his wife's troll worthy quote in 2009 that it was god who arranged big money transfer to RM during recession. :D

He's too young to really hold a meaningful opinion, but taking care of your mind is so so important. You can really fall apart when things go wrong. Got to have a good safety bet and be safe with yourself.

Experience shows this can go very very wrong long term though. It's absolutely crucial that you're at peace with yourself.

Especially with football players that are practically the breadwinner for a entire team of people.

I think people get a lot of things wrong about psychology, but that's really no issue here, he's going to become an adult and have his own experiences.

I hope the kid is ready. It won’t be easy. He will ride the the bench a lot and we will see what the kid is made up in small short opportunities

It will be easier for him that Vinicius and Rodrygo.

At this moment he isn't expected to save Madrid just play smaller roles. If he can stay focused, be patient and use his opportunities; this may be the perfect situation to give him enough time to find his feet and really develop.

All eyes are on Mbappe. Then Vinicius and Jude, Rodrygo, etc. No one is even expecting Endrick to carry a load.

on the aspect of pressure, yes, infinitely easier as he has no pressure to help much.

but he has a different challenge than those guys did. He sees himself as an alpha and has been told all of his life that he’s an alpha. The next big thing and now he’s likely going to find himself on the bench A LOT. You are a pro so you understand this better than all of us but I feel many athletes don’t process this well. Even if you are told ahead of time and you think you understand, it’s different once it actually happens. Basically you have to remain ready and positive at all times even if you don’t play. Guys like Nacho, Diaz, Vazquez are phenomenal at this but none of them were told they were alphas.

Hopefully we play well enough to get big leads and let the kid get some burn

Edrick would replace rodrygo in the squad and would be more effective than Vini Jr. He would be little dynamite

Abel benched him a lot in his first season. He had to earn the starting spot the hard way. Joselu leaving reduces the clutter a bit upfront as well. And we will play a lot of games with 7 competitions to fight for.
