Neymar also won nothing with Brazil NT. Even Robinho led them to a Copa America in 2007. And they won 2019 Copa America without Neymar by being a solid defensive team.

Adriano also led Brazil's B side to a Copa America in 2004 against Argentina's A squad. Neymar is the biggest underachiever among superstar talents for Brazil NT given his career is pretty much done and probably won't anything.

Maybe I misunderstood, but shouldn't this be an Endrick's thread? A thread keeping us up to date with his developments, achievements, injuries etc. I feel that this thread is, albeit not exclusively, more and more being contaminated with topics not really related to Endrick (anymore).

Exactly. The non-Endrick stuff should be in the Other Teams Thread.

What he does elsewhere I pretty irrelevant to us anyway. He could become the top scorer in every competition in Brazil then join us, phone it in and get overweight an washed. What good does this do us.

I don’t know how much he is going to play for us. We are kinda stacked upfront and Carlo is not knowing for rotating players

Calm? I have seen that kick practicing King Fu with grappling and hip throws during matches.

Lil bro if that is calm what is perturbed?

Nah, I was just joking hahaha
After Endrick covered himself with Palmeiras' badge, he won my heart. I wouldn't call myself a fan, but he ok.

lol @hector_br is right. This dude has got a strong team behind him. Not only did he learn Spanish, he learned Spain Spanish which is typically not the norm for foreigners who learn the language

I think it's clear the player is being advised, which is not unusual and actually a very good sign (Real Madrid probably has a hand in it as well..). It's not as surprising as it may seem at first glance. People can call it fake etc., but I'd rather have a fake guy that is being advised to focus on the right things than a enthusiastic youngster that wings it and loses focus in his mid 20s. Sure, you can have people like Jude every now and then (he undoubtedly has a team behind him, and of course his parents are very close on him), but I'd argue growing up in a good, stable environment in England is a very different and more challenging upbringing than growing up relatively poor in Brazil.

It's funny because his trained calm and composed persona vastly differs from his quasi-violent tackles on the pitch. Supporters from ALL other teams in Brazil call him protected, and I can't disagree.

That's what good PR does for you. Similar to Gavi's protection by Spanish refs.

Having good media training, good image training, learning the language of the country you are going to be living in, these are all good things and they are contributors to success. Even if it’s considered “fake” so what. I look at everything from one angle, is this good or potentially good for Real Madrid. Having a young guy who is well supported and coached about stuff off the pitch is a good thing in my opinion. The only thing is it can’t just be words like him saying he’s calm, we should see it too.

He projects a ton of confidence for his age, which I think rubs some people the wrong way. Get off my lawn type of thing.

Remember Federico Macheda? There was some commentary on his ‘confidence’ on the pitch, but one pundit rightly noted that all players at this level have high levels of self-belief. Lack of confidence is a non-starter. Macheda faded into obscurity shortly after.

It’s kinda goofy to see Endrick strut around looking like he owns the pitch sometimes but he fits the profile. You’d expect there to be an appropriate amount of humbling when he’s around his new teammates.

Endrick has given a hilarious interview claiming his father wanted to name him Di Stefano. He is a character at this point.

2nd time he's said it. First was few months back. I don't buy it though. :D Pele would have been believable but Di Stefano? His father is probably born in 1980s so way past Di Stefano era.

We have a song in Arabic that says whisper sweet things to me even if it's a lie.

    Take it with that mentality.
