He’s gonna end up coaching setubal at this rate. Maybe not though he seems to think he’s too good for Portugal.
Maybe as one final run at Porto before retirement but I can't see Mourinho doing that any sooner. He'd probably pull a Jorge Jesus and coach in Brazil or come to Canada and work in the construction industry before that happens.
Roma 2-2 at home vs Bodo/Glimt. Mourinho finishes with a combined 3-8 goal deficit from the 2 matches vs the Norwegian squad
Roma just lost to newly promoted club Venezia 2-3. Not mathematically impossible but the title run for Jose is realistically over after 12 match days in Serie A
Jose will get Setubal to replace Braga in the top 4 and troll their way in Europa League with 1-0 wins parking the bus after taking the lead every game. They'll probably also sign Bruno Alves for one last pitstop before retirement
The money has made Jose complacent and he doesn't really have to try anymore. Especially when Jorge Mendes is there to find him jobs even though he's falling downwards in the echelon of clubs he's coaching. His years spent living in England has also made him soft. Like how does he allow his daughter to go out dressed like this for a photo op...No old school porkchop dad would ever take that
Roma now 11 points off the leaders Napoli, after their loss to Bologna yesterday. The Serie A continues to mainly be a 3 horse race between Napoli, AC Milan and Inter. With Atalanta also hanging around there at a not too distant 4th place Jose's team still has 5th spot with 25 points, but Fiorentina, Juve and Bologna are only 1 point behind them right now. Overall looking like one of the the more competitive leagues in Europe
“Your job is a lot easier than ours which is why we earn a lot more than you.” Jose Mourinho refuses to take any questions from journalists following 3-1 Inter defeat 😡 pic.twitter.com/dwV0PPS5sF— GOAL (@goal) December 4, 2021
Mou's current fetish seems to be English players. Roma looking to bring in Maitland Niles on loan, they already have Tammy Abraham and Chris Smalling CONFIRMED: Ainsley Maitland-Niles will leave Arsenal to join Jose Mourinho's Roma on loan 🤝 pic.twitter.com/9fXRg95xQv— GOAL News (@GoalNews) December 26, 2021
The only English player he signed was Tammy Abraham. Chris Smalling was already there and I think Mou was the reason he left United in the first place.
Roma finishes with a 1-1 tie at home vs Vitesse in the Conference League but they squeeze by to the quarterfinals with an overall 2-1 aggregate over two legs
Roma lose 1-2 in the first leg of the Conference League quarterfinals vs Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt, their old nemesis from the group stages Jose Mourinho has faced just two sides 3+ times in his career and failed to win: ◎ Real Madrid 5 games 0 wins ◉ Bodø/Glimt3 games 0 wins Both of Roma's defeats in the #UECL this season have come in Norway. 🇳🇴 pic.twitter.com/y1jXSkpCLb— Squawka (@Squawka) April 7, 2022
Looks like Jose may get a chance for his trophy afterall as Roma advance into the UEFA Conference League finals and will face Feyenoord
I have no attachments to Roma and I'm not particularly partial to Jose either. So let the best team win!
Classic Mou quote: MOURINHO: ‘ROMA FANS TRULY SPECIAL, CONFERENCE LEAGUE MEANS MORE THAN SCUDETTO’ https://football-italia.net/mourinh...l-conference-league-means-more-than-scudetto/
I like him but its sad to see how delusional he is. Rather than using his failures to fix his deficiencies as a modern coach, he just makes excuses and does not appear to try adapting to the modern era at all. Simeone is the modern version of Mourinho, ultra negative defensive football, but he combines it with off the ball pressing. That's Mourinho's biggest fault as a coach imo, cannot coach an effective press.
Jose turns 60 in January. You can't teach an old porkchop new tricks. He just wants to reflect on the glory of his yester years
