Conte took over the next season and won the league with 93 points Madrid won the champions league and copa del rey the very next season. What a drop off!
Going from winning literally everything possible to winning just the league is a drop off. Ignoring all that, conte never coached Inter until 2019. After Mourinho left they went through 5 coaches in two seasons and finished second and then sixth. Again, just to be very clear, they went from winning literally everything possible to crashing down to sixth in the league within two years of him leaving. The only major change being the manager. Cute argument though, shows both you guys have no idea what you’re talking about and just hate mourinho for the sake of hating mourinho.
The post was talking about Conte taking over Mourinho at Chelsea and winning the league. Theres plenty of reasons to hate on Mourinho. He loves to take credit when his teams are winning, but as soon as the results are no longer going his way he just publicly scapegoats player x, y and z in the media. Its never his fault. This is what eurodad was talking about when he said he leaves teams in turmoil. This has happened at Chelsea, Man Utd, Real Madrid....and it will probaly happen at Spurs soon. In fact, its already somewhat started at Spurs with how he talks about Dele Alli. If the results keep not going his way he will soon start to attack other places. In Mourinhos delusional ego land, its never his fault. His tactics are perfect...if his team doesnt win its the refs fault, the scheduling, his own players etc. This is precisely why hes done as a top coach. He doesnt believe hes doing anything wrong so refuses to evolve his tactics
Can't be any more of a whiny bitch than what Klopp has become https://www.facebook.com/8585725981/posts/10159598421465982/
If he wins the carabao cup he will still proclaim himself the greatest tottenham coach in history despite this failure of a season
And we* would savour it ... though it really isn't much, if we're honest. The fact is that, while he certainly has some fans amongst our support, most are not enamored with Jose Mourinho. First off, the football is dire. I mean, it's really grueling stuff to watch. When it had us at the top of the table, there wasn't all that much complaining; but playing that way without results is tough to stomach - especially for a club that prides itself on playing attractive, attacking football. Still, the real problem is that his tactics not only fail to play to his squad's strengths, they appear to accentuate it's weaknesses. I won't bang on here about Spurs, but in reference to the thread's opening premise, I don't see a whole lot of big clubs rushing in for him once his time at ours is done. At best, he'll have done something like his time at Man Utd, a couple of the minor trinkets and then leaving the club worse off than when he came. Granted, we'll have appreciated them more than they do/did, but if you ask most Spurs fans, they'd probably say that we'll be glad to see the back of him, as well. Without discounting his prior accomplishments (particularly at Porto), it's difficult to see him accomplishing much without a huge budget. He needs specific players playing in specific roles, and is always going to squander talent that doesn't fit. There just aren't that many clubs that can - or are inclined to - afford his methods. And the football is utter pants. No one wants to watch it. I'm still pulling for him. I want him to succeed. But I suspect we're about to see his downward trajectory picking up speed soon. I don't think he'll be considered a top manager anymore (if he even still is) on the day he walks away from Tottenham. *I'm Spurs, as I suppose you will have deduced.
We didn't draw to Arsenal; we conceded twice and lost. Tonight was very bad for his tenure at Spurs. The wages he's on means he might be in North London until the end of the season. But he won't be there come August. Bank that.
You are right. I saw the game but just misremembered lol got tons of work atm and you just know that if he flukes a result against city in the Carabao he will deem this season a massive success He is a coward in his tactics. Against Arsenal for example, he clearly has the superior squad and stsrting eleven but still opts not press or play attacking.
This is why he is finished 🗣 @juliette_grace "In the past, holding on to a lead is what you've been so good at doing"🗣 Jose Mourinho: "Same coach, different players"😳📲⚽ https://t.co/5Du5Yilmm1#bbcfootball #NEWTOT pic.twitter.com/LFU5hDFOuf— BBC 5 Live Sport (@5liveSport) April 4, 2021 Its just never his fault, in his mind his tactics are perfection and not alterations should be made
Mourinho is done. Laughing all the way to bank.... Where does he go from here? Doesn't seem to care anymore
Not a move that I would have ever predicted. I hope he has success but I don't think he will see any with Roma. Roma seems happy https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/roma-shares-surge-mourinho-joins-143310196.html
Spurs are happy, too. Saved the club around 12m pounds in wages that they now won't have to pay from his contract at ours.
I can see it now, by December when Roma are not playing well, Mourinho will say Rome was not built in a day. lol
Mourinho is gonna go old school. He is gonna find all the diamonds in the rough and build a team from the ground up. I give it 2 months
José Mourinho: “I won three trophies at Manchester United and that was seen as a disaster. I reached a cup Final which I was not allowed to play at Tottenham, and that was seen as a disaster. What's a disaster for me is considered as a great success for others”. 🇵🇹 #MUFC #THFC— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 8, 2021 He is still as delusional as ever. No wonder he never improves, he still thinks his tactics are perfect and he is succeeding
Roma had a bunch of B or C-team players on but it's still embarrassing, as Jose's squad is losing 1-6 to Norwegian club FK Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Conference League
