Come on, Beckham is a publishment product! Why is he so famous? I can´t believe that goal against Madrid, just look at the great Iker Casillas standind like a fool watching the Beckham´s ball pass by without moving a finger. I knew he would make that goal. Of course Beckham is going to Real Madrid. Ronaldo is EL FENOMENO, finally I have my all time greatest player: *Pelé 1958-1970, Diego Maradona 1978-1994 and Ronaldo 1994...* Los Merengues definitely are Los Galácticos
Well, I have to see the replay, the second Beckham´s goal was Hierro´s own-goal, is ridiculous to say it was a Beckham´s goal due to the fact he touched a very little bit the ball, it was an own-goal. Tension betrayed Real Madrid´s players, mistakes.
RM defensively isn't that two games in the last three that Real has given up 4 goals? (Real Sociedad last week as well)
Re: RM defensively Yeah, but that's Real Madrid's style. While they can defend, if they concede a goal then usually they just turn the game into a shootout.
I don't really even like Beckham but that was his goal. Actually, it was Ruud's. Hierro didn't even touch it. He ran over it after Ruud's shot was deflected by Casillas and was rolling into the net anyways. Beckham just happened to touch it before it went over the line.
Gilstar what are you saying? I don't quite follow. Are you saying that the keeper let that free kick go in? I think Beckham may be overrated as a field player but there is no doubt about his ability on set pieces. Somebody smarter than me could explain how little time you have to react to a 60mph shot from that distance with a wall blocking your view until the last second.
I´m saying what you read! Somebody else could see Casilla stoping the other faster bullet without knowing how, but not making a move to stop Beckham´s goal, and he was looking at the ball .Casillas was a god, but not with Beckham first move to goal. Anyway, I won´t deny Spice Boy has the football skills and style, I said I like him before, and won´t deny football has this kind of weird things. Just an interpretation of that weird (very weird) reaction.
Congratulations on winning and all that. But do you really need to talk down the opposing team to make your team look better?
You have most definitely never played keeper before... C'mon now!!! Beckham's FK was superbly hit!!! If Casillas set his wall right he should have seen the majority of it... I don't blame him for watching it go by because look at it, it was close to going out but it hit the crossbar. If he had made that save, that more the likely would have been the greatest save ever...not only would he have to get his upper hand up, he would not some great footwork to get over... Keepers can never be 100% right, by not moving, Casillas simply had an error in judgement.
