Always the difficult way. Will take a win though, still out and about enjoying it. A joy to be in North London tonight as every other person you speak to was watching! Not sure why he didn't start with Giroud, we tailed off badly at the start of the second half and them scoring didn't help. Gibbs and Debuchy weren't good. Szczesny is Szczesny really, should have done better. On the plus side we won while in first gear and we are back at Wemberley in May. Ps - what is the obsession with Bully about? Being English I really don't understand, he's a figure of ridicule in many ways here... THE ARSENAL
Nope, I don't understand the problem . Here's a lovely photo of me and Bully estimating the size of HomeAtHighbury's John Thomas AND I'VE LOVED THEM ALL MY LIFE, LITTLE MEN IN RED AND WHITE Been drinking since kick off...best sign off now
I'm looking forward to this year's final. I was on a golf course during my annual golf trip last year and while I was able to watch (and turn off, and back on) the final while playing, it took away from the whole dramatic experience of the comeback for me. I can only imagine what its like for Ian Poutlter when Arsenal plays big games on Sundays during a major.
Two of my prize possessions.. Arsenal 71 Jersey signed by Poults & Charlie George. Charlie signed it at Emirates.. Poults at Kapalua, Maui Caddie vest worn by Terry Mundy all week at Hyundai on Maui, I got to spend 3 rounds with Poults & Terry...they were kind enough to let me travel in courtesy cars with them too.
Part of me felt like when Reading scored and the camera zoomed in on Szcz, and he was sort of staring into space owning his mistake, I felt like he was thinking back to the Carling Cup final when Birmingham ruined the day. Not the same circumstances but I felt like that was on Wojeich's mind in that moment today. I hope it was, because I believe Woj will be in goal for the final. Fab was last year and still managed to leave us after.
He gets his face on TV a lot and stands out in a crowd. I never really understood the "celebrity fan" thing, and it's unfortunate that our most recognizable fan looks like he just crawled out of a dumpster.
There is no obsession with Bully or anybody else for that matter. The dude is just part of the club folklore, like many other clubs have their own interesting, eccentric or crazy characters. You meet them in most stadiums.
Ozil tweet after the game: @MesutOzil1088 13h13 hours ago Weee did it!! Wembley, see you again in May! I've to pay my respect to Reading today: keep your heads up! #YaGunnersYa #HardFight #FACup Poldi tweeted as well... Those familiar with him will notice that something is missing. @Podolski10 14h14 hours ago Congrats to the #Gunners wembley again !! Well done... #FACup #Wembley #Poldi #RedArmy #Sanchez
Bully is a proper fan at most of our games home and away A bigger fan than anyone here so I can't see how he can be cristicised
Bully and I would be as perfect fit together as far as hardcore-'til-I-die fans are concerned. ON TO THE FINALS!!! We'll find out who our final victim will be in just a few hours time, it'll be either Liverpool or Arse-ton Villa. COYF'n'G!!! Let's defend both our turf and our Cup!!! WE RULE WEMBLEY!!!
So we will face Aston Villa @ Wembley for the FA Cup! They won fair and square today vs L'Pool. Fine with me! PS. Love these Pool fans tweets. @LFCTikiTaka 2m2 minutes ago Better than getting trounced by Arsenal in the final @DazzaC1976 10m10 minutes ago Oh well, at least this is slightly less painful then it would have been after we were stuffed by arsenal in the final!! ,#LFC
There's no reason we can't beat Villa in the final. With Chelsea beating MU this weekend, the title race is now over. This is our only chance for silverware. Let's treat it as such. COYG
I'm at most of our games? There are a lot of people I know who go to every game. The point I'm making is that there's a perception of him as Arsenal's number one fan because he looks a bit different and gets on TV every other game, and I was interested as to whether that was the sole reason he is popular.
Well I think this is it. He got caught on camera a few times behind the goal and I think it's gone from there. There are plenty of fans who go to every game, I suppose he is more recognisable than most. One more thing. Said it before, I'll say it again - please, no Szczesny in the final. I have very bad memories of his last cup final in net for us....
A fair point, but I don't know what happens to us at Wembley. Is it just nerves? Had it against Birmingham, had it against Chelsea in the cup semi final, had it against Wigan, had it against Hull, had it yesterday. That's a lot more difficult to resolve as it seems to run through a number of squads we've put out there.
As if we've never seen this club put a string of good performances together at this stage before. Also, see the post above. In any event, winning the FA Cup, as has been mentioned, does not carry with it the same level of prestige it once did. It also should not be seen as a sign that this club is improving either. It's the bare minimum for a team like Arsenal as far as I'm concerned.
