Fifth round fixtures: Bristol Rovers v Southampton Cardiff City v Wolves Sheffield United v Middlesbrough Liverpool v Barnsley Manchester United v Arsenal Preston v Portsmouth Coventry City v West Brom Chelsea v Huddersfield Town The ties are scheduled to take place on 16 and 17 February.
Have Manchester United played a non premiership club at all this FA Cup? I know they had Tottenham and Ashton Villa. Now with Arsenal, I bet if they win they will get drawn with Chelsea or Liverpool! It's too bad that because that game is so good, US viewers will not be able to see it normally.
Why not? Man Utd v Arsenal will be on pay-per-view and that would be true no matter what round they met-up in. Last season, the FA Cup final was on pay-per-view. But, yes, it looks as if Man Utd will have to beat at least 5 (maybe 6) Premiership teams to lift the trophy. So... question: has any team ever defeated 6 Premiership clubs in one FA Cup? Or even 5?
Pay per view means I have to drive to Montreal to watch the game, which at 9 am on Sunday isn't ideal, but for this I might make the sacrifice.
Right! The 13th, 9th, 7th, 3rd and 2nd place teams in the Premiership. And as Fulham in the old second division back then? That's some tough draws!
I think, that Wenger's boys want to win Premiership more than FA Cup, so ManU will win with them. But when Arsenal win, it will be good for me...
