After seeing the great progress of our state of the art stadium, I came to the conclusion that the stadium should be ready for the end of August or/and beginning of September. This is almost 7 months from now. What do guys think?
I apologize cause I was in Chile for over a month and did not read other posts here in the redbull forum. But, if this is true, then please close this thread: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...611999&cc=5901 this is a link from espn.
yeah. it will probably be finished soon after the 2009 season, but won't be used until the 2010 season.
I dont know if it makes sense since I understand that they have to build apartments, supermarkets and parking around the facility. I dont know if that is conecceted to the stadium itself.
Well, the true answer for this question is: Somewhere between March 17th and March 28th, 2010 (assuming recent trends of the starting week in MLS hold.) So, this range of dates is based on the answers to other questions: Will Red Bulls open the season at home? Will this be the season opener? Where will the MLS host Cup Finals and All Star games in 2010? I think we all believe that MLS will leverage our new gem, but will they do so aggressively in 2010, or will they wait to see how the season pans out? I have to think that New York as a Cup destination is something MLS is anxiously awaiting.
Depends on if RB makes it to the knockout rounds of the Champions League. If so, sometime in mid to late February will be the first game for them in the new stadium.
I do think we will be awarded either the All-Star game or Cup Final, they're definitely going to want to help NY in every way possible with boosting ticket sales numbers in association with the new stadium.
heh, maybe there should be a poll thread "What will be The Arena's biggest game in 2010?" or "What/When Is The Arena's First Game?" I like the idea of us opening up late fall for a Champion's League knockout game
