I find it difficult to put him top when success in F1 depends so much on the car and supporting team.

I'd personally go for WG Grace or Daley Thompson.
Grace is one of the very few people worldwide who individually transformed his sport, and he dominated it like no other.
Thompson went unbeaten in the decathlon for almost a decade, which is far more impressive than doing so in a single discipline.
I'll always value skill and technique over endurance in these sort of assessments, as impressive as the likes of Steve Redgrave, Chris Hoy, etc were.

Or if you value versatility, Max Woosnam. Olympic Tennis gold medalist, Davis Cup Captain, hit a century at Lords for the MCC, captained Man City and England, made a 147 snooker break, and was a scratch golfer. All as an amateur, working full time.

Steve Redgrave and Adam Peaty are ahead of Hamilton too, although in lower profile sports.

Daley Thompson is an old school shout I like it. Having never seen WG Grace I would have a hard time picking him, a bit like stanley Mathews. About the car thing, if he were to win it with fFerrari you'd have to starting taking the car out the factor. (big if mind)

How can a darts player be above athletics gold medalists?

I know people joke, but given how competitive darts is in Europe now it’s a decent acheivement

I always like this format. Real high quality darts and tests the players in a different way. Teamwork etc.

Unlike the last few years it went to plan and the two favourites met in the final.

2 of the best players ever, finally click and win a world cup for England. Last years debacle against Germany can be forgotten now.

Btw if you can, get a watch of the highlights against Wales. Really good match, and Littler when they win is headbutting the stage :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Shall I list his achievements? Or do you really want me to take up the next 2 or 3 pages just on his honors alone?

throwing darts into a board and being a fat bastard isn’t anywhere near the sporting level of an actual athlete

darts is a pub game, same as pool or snooker

I don't watch darts very much, but when ever I do the atmosphere looks amazing.

I don't know how you can question the athletic prowess of Scotland's greatest sportsman

Joe Root is both the leading run scorer and the leading wicket taker tomorrow's test team.

Stokes not expected to return for the third test according to the Times.

The Woken cricket was an OK win today but more nervous than it should have been.
