Speaking of Rooney, this has to be on my favorite moments of his (when we won the CL in 08). A pic that speaks volume about the man!
Had to do it. Delete if unjustified. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/to...&share_fid=46249&share_type=t&link_source=app

I never saw that duo being as fantastic as they were when they were signed. Their off the field personalities didnt seem like they would jive. I thought they were competing for the same spot.
Although he does have a coaching resume of sorts so it's not a total case of the coaching search not leaving the parking lot. It would have been more insane if it went to Gary.
I'm here for the Ibra vs Lukaku discussions, disappointed. I reckon that would be a solid fight, I would definitely pay to watch that as an MMA fight, way rather than seeing another Connor Mcgregor debacle. Where you at Dana White? Obviously won't ever happen but who do you guys reckon would win? Ibra has the reach and martial arts training with Taekwando but Lukaku has the sheer power. I guess it will also come down to whether Lukaku has any experience with fighting or martial arts. For the video: https://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=383482
Ibra has height, reach and (unless there is something we dont know about Lukaku) technique advantages. Being able to use feet in addition to fists in a fight a big advantage. Lukaku has power, however Ibra is a big guy too - so if more power not that much (weight stats on internet garbage, but show Lukaku 93kg and Ibra 95kg so probs fairly even). Aggression and interesting one, think that favours Zlatan too (eg has red cards and dont think Lukaku has had). No contest really, Ibra by a distance with Lukaku having a punchers chance.
Romelu Lukaku a year ago: “I recognize myself in Zlatan. We understand each other. Few people know it, but he helped me a lot at the time. He is a champion. And, as we say, he has the mentality of a dog. He never gives up. I still take his advice with me”pic.twitter.com/Z419BLdrJ0— Kristof Terreur (@kristofterreur) January 27, 2021 Voodoo message told Romelu Lukaku to leave Everton for Chelsea, says Moshiri | Football | The Guardian Rumor has it that Zlatan dug up that story yesterday when he was referring to Lukaku's mom. It'd stand to reason he'd know about it since they shared the same agent at the time. And it's not hard to think Raiola would think it as funny and start telling it around, especially once Lukaku left him.
Zlatan can be clearly heard saying: "Call you mother, do your voodoo shit!" (pretty sure he called him a monkey too at the start of the exchange). The quip about his mother clearly sent Lukaku into overdrive as he calls Zlatan a 'son of a bitch' in french... Inter want shot of Sanchez already according to Fab, only signed him around five months ago on a reported 3 year contract worth a total of £28M supposedly. Inter and Roma are considering a possible swap deal between Alexis Sanchez and Edin Dzeko. It’s not an easy deal or advanced but the two clubs are now in direct contact. 🔴 @SkySport #Inter #Roma— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 28, 2021
Dzeko is the type of big striker Conte likes. And it would stand to reason that he'd be Lukaku's backup: they do play in a 2 striker system/formation after all.
Especially now that it looks like no one can afford Martinez unless City or PSG are Interested. If i were City he'd be my Aguero replacement. But he'd actually fit tactically.
That was the only thing I could think of too, but I dismissed it because Barca were the only ones I remember being rumored.
Pretty sure I've heard on a few different occasions that Pep wants Martinez at City. Eventhough he's in negotiations with Inter over a new deal, it still hasn't been completed. And with City pretty desperate for a new striker, it probably stands to reason that they're still very much in the hunt for him. It's not like there are that many viable (and available) CFs out there at the moment. Haaland is one but not entirely sure he'd be the right fit for them. It's not certain that Aguero will sign a new contract with City either, so it will definitely be a pressing need for them this summer. Still only in January as well: things are very likely to change. Changes nothing with the Dzeko- Sanchez situation/proposed swap deal though and how it's a move that Conte would desire and push for...
