Anyone remember Rhain Davis? His story: https://www.sportbible.com/football...kid-who-signed-for-manchester-united-20200327

Grade A father/son advice there from RvP to his son. This might be my favourite part from our chat with @persie_official. The advice he gave to his 13 yr old son to take control - and the reaction he got! Relevant to all of us. pic.twitter.com/W0kOhwVEwq— Jake Humphrey (@mrjakehumphrey) April 23, 2020
Anyone listen to The High Performance Podcast before? They've interviewed RVP (as seen above), Rio, and Tracy Neville. The clip above was excellent and I will be giving it a look this week.
Always fun listening to Rio. His takes on a few subjects are interesting, although not all that surprising at the same time.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...gue-abroad-as-uk-environment-isnt-safe-enough i like Neville a lot as a commentator and his post-playing career roles in football in general but this is one of the dumbest things he's ever said. don't think he really thought this through at all
https://www.skysports.com/football/...d-can-match-kylian-mbappe-says-matteo-darmian spoke highly about everyone and the club in general even though he didn't need to. good to see no hard feelings
https://www.goal.com/en/news/change...-training-sessions/14u3180e7z15k1uftlvqw1xr4w A real shame: the guy really should have been way more and at the top of his game now. Should be a big deal at a big club and for England as well. No longer expecting him to reach the heights but it would be nice if he could finish strong at least. The time for him to make it happen is now though.
A small portion of Evra's appearance on the United Podcast show. Definitely worth listening to the whole thing, with tons of interesting bits and stories. There is one for instance about how SAF got him to sign a new contract in 2010 when he was on the verge of leaving for Real: great, great stuff.
Gary with a great take on Ravel Morrison. Not to say that he wasn't at fault for some of his stupid decisions. Rather, his situation was probably a bit more complex than fans realize.
Herrera lifts the lid (somewhat) on why he left United. https://global.espn.com/football/so...own-to-disagreements-with-board-ander-herrera The emergence of Fred in particular has lessened the blow from his departure but still miss the guy. And would have love to see what he could contribute to the team now (even as a squad guy).
Scholes on why Veron did not work out the way it should have at United. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...ball-news/man-utd-scholes-veron-news-18238398 Really a case of bad timing in this case and it's a real shame considering how class Veron was. In today's environment, not hard to imagine he might been more successful. With the players we had back then, a 4-2-3-1 would have been worked a charm. We'd have Keane paired with Seba as the deep lying CMs right behind Becks, Scholes and Giggs, in support of Ruud. Probably would have been very fun to watch.
Tevez downed tools in his final season at United - GNev https://www.skysports.com/football/...-tools-at-manchester-united-says-gary-neville Interesting. He was right though in his claim that the trio of CRon, Rooney and Tevez was special. And to the club's defense, they really did everything they could to keep Tevez at the club (they were ready to pay his release clause and he was going to be among the top earners at the club). But once City came calling it was a wrap and he decided he didn't want to stay. Was a shame the club couldn't get him to stay, but no one was to blame either. Like GNev said, just looks like he played everyone at the club unfortunately.
Such a shame if that's true. I was/am a huge Tevez fan. This was a good piece on the big man, Peter Schmiechel:

Interesting piece on Frans Hoek. https://www.skysports.com/football/story-telling/11095/11991627/frans-hoek-godfather-of-goalkeeping His reputation is most definitely legit and earned. Think it can be easily argued for instance that De Gea was never better and more complete than under his tutelage and guidance.
