Was at the open practice at RFK this morning. Saw Freddy Adu being interviewed. He’s 28 now, seems like two lifetimes ago that he was playing for DCU under Nowak.
The Freddy Adu scam is one of the low points in United's history and made an international joke out of MLS. In the day there were pimps on 14th st with higher professional ethics but I guess either none of the real legends will talk to the guy or Nike is still paying a press bounty.
He embodied everything that was wrong about the culture of travel league soccer. I really blame his youth coaches for his lack of achievement more than him.
I really enjoyed watching the legends. It's so weird and fun so much talent from across the years all on the field at the same time. -Goodbye RFK
I made my peace and said my good-byes at the end of the 2015 season. I got to see DC kick the ass of a rival and leave happy. I just couldn't go back and give money to what this sudo-franchise is. I almost did. I really thought about one last tailgate but in the end I cherish my last memories there. Maybe when the new ownership takes over. I hope everyone had a great/somber/emotional time.
In case anyone missed it https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10155804131776489 Luci looks like he could still play. And Etcheverry's corner kicks were still superior to anyone currently on the team
I understand, and that's more-or-less what I told people yesterday. I just wanted to let you know that folks asked about you.
Louis Crayton MOTM. This was fun to watch. I still enjoyed being at the tailgate more, but it was good to see some sophistication on the field. Certainly been lacking the last decade. Will miss RFK

here is the actual sales webpage: RFK Stadium Stadium Seats for Sale. (stadiumseatdepot.com) Lower bowl single wood seats start at $435 with tax and convenience fee. If you do not want to bolt it to your floor, add $90 or $120 for the feet so you can sit or rock in it without falling over.
I am VERY curious to find out if the Frank Howard seats have been stolen. If not, will be interesting to see how high bidding on them will run to... perhaps, they will put them in Cooperstown or some other museum. I once climbed up there just to sit in one of them.
its kinda ironic that after the last game at RFK they chased down folks who did try to take their seats with them but they didnt chase anyone who drove tractor trailer trucks while stealing all the "temporary" seating from the north end that was stored in Lot 8 after stickball came in....
well shit, I'll take my seat home from Buzzard Pt now then. Someone at the lacrosse tourney a few ys ago broke the cup holder off of one of our seats. The swapped out the arm rest for one that didn't have a cup holder and you'd be surprised how much you actually miss having it.
