Well there were like 5 or 6 turnover opportunities to benefit from. All continued by making wrong choices or making wrong through passes. What a waste and then that cross landing right in Donks (?) feet doing nothing with it but losing control and make in land in the keepers feet/hands. Man, this game could be different.

I mist the first 20 minutes to be honest. The Dutch play maker is having a howler of a game so far. Really, everything she does is bad.

Miedema is having a bad tournement

That nr 3 from Canada, the black girl with red stripes in it, I propose kidnapping her and naturalizing her as a Dutchie and that is coming from somebody who is against the whole concept when it involves sports

I don't know. There are opportunities, but none are taken. That is lack of quality. I think Netherlands is at that stage where they try to solidify their style, by building up from the back in their first WC no less. They just are not good enough to deal with real pressure, like vs China and NZ. This game goes a bit better. It will take time to raise the level to a point where they can also deal with pressure that is too much for them now.

There could have been given 3 yellow cards to Dutch players by now. This ref is not doing cards it seems.

Still think this Canadian team was beatable. We really did not take our chances so far.

Could have won actually. I am bothered by that last call on Miedema. She was through in a fair way and we also should have had a penalty.

Yeah. I just read that Sweden and Australia have to play against each other and whoever becomes nr 3 of those 2, they will not be able to get 4 points. Thailand is also left behind, so that is that.

However I bet that we get a hard opponent next round. So you always need to win your game and lay a good foundation for the next round. Playing on safe is not ambitious in my book.
