Great now I'm having Quadrophonea flashbacks. I also by default of being from Argentina get accused of being an Italophile all the time. I'm Gallego through and through!!!
Wiggo's got a wicked collection of guitars, shares a connection with my English musical tastes. He's alright in my book
I own the movie but haven't watched it in a while. The soundtrack on the other hand plays very regularly. "Can you see the real me" and "515" are two of my favorite songs ever.
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/afld-president-suspects-new-drugs-in-peloton Quick little read about two pills that could be used in the peloton if not already. The French Dope-Busters are skeptical that the TDF really was clean.
Anyone who said they were pleased to see the Tour make it though in one piece maybe spoke too soon: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tour-stage-winner-astarloza-suspended-after-failed-doping-test Wouldn't be suprised if there's more to follow either.
Nice job Mikel you douche bag. Who's next? Will we have to wait a month or two to find out what riders during Le Tour were dirty?
Sorry but while I hold out faith that the majority of riders are clean, somehow that faith will get me heart broken in the end. Where there is smoke fire is usually close by.
well his name came up in Operación Puerto when he rode for Liberty Seguros(2004-2006). he just seems cocky enough to think he can't get caught.
I'll give Bert the benefit of the doubt even with the connection to Puerto. As far as cockiness to believe he can't get caught, that applies to pretty much every bonehead that's been caught.
Apparently there were blood bags with AC written on them, but there were a couple of other riders that tested positive that had the initials AC (although I can't remember who they were). Nonetheless, it's hard to say that anyone is above suspicion these days. In other news, Wiggins has just released all of his results (iirc going back until he was 19). I suppose he might be clean.
AC always denies but never does anything to prove it. all he needed to do to completely clear his name from puerto was a DNA sample. that would have ended the story but he didn't. then when lemond accused him of the stage 15 results, he said that he was not guilty of those charges because he hadn't failed a test but wouldn't go as far as staying he was 100% clean. the dude just skirts the questions and doesn't answer completely. to me, thats smoke and fire. if you got nothing to hide, why not?
but wait there's more! [/billymaysvoice] http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/afld-begins-re-testing-of-2008-tour-doping-controls
Damn I'd love to see that list. On another note the French media are reporting that the testers took it easy on certain teams including Astana. Didn't Armstrong say on a tweet that he was tested nearly twice a day for the duration of the tour? I'd hate to see when they are upping their game. http://www.velonews.com/
http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/33290416/ns/sports-other_sports/ Now an investigation into this past year's TDF.
Zirbel announces positive for DHEA http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/zir...-for-dhea?cid=OTC-RSS&attr=news_headlines The A-sample returned positive for an endogenous steroid Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). CAS confirms Valverde's Italian ban UCI intends to make the Spaniard's two-year ban worldwide http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/cas-confirms-valverdes-italian-ban
i really hate dopers in the sport but this Operacion Puerto is getting out of hand. it's been like 4 years right? lets move on. there should be some sort of statue of limitations for the riders. i hate hate hate hate the dopers but my god.
Radioshack rider Li Fuyu fails drugs test http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/other_sports/cycling/8638992.stm Li Fuyu, a rider for Lance Armstrong's Team RadioShack, has been provisionally suspended by the International Cycling Union (UCI) after failing a drugs test.
This is one incident that TRS I'm sure would have hoped never happened as it now leaves the door open for all forms of criticisms towards the team and on Mr. Armstrong in particular.
To tell you the truth, I am not sure it is anything new for them. People who don't care for LA and JB have been making remarks for a long time and will continue to do so. They are doing the right thing, as did Garmin with Zirbel, or BMC with a couple of their riders...they are reacting quicker and taking them out of the active squad as secondary tests/investigations are being run.
