Nothing will turn folk into authoritarians faster than if Mamdani loses in NYC. He's out walking the streets to talk to voters while Andrew has received over $30M from some super pacs and is invisible and flooding the radio and TV with ads dear mongering about...well, what you'd expect.

We here live in the “best country in the world”. We all say that, tell visitors that and I as an immigrant from 1968 believed that.
But when did we last really look at that, because we’re not. Anymore that is!!!

I think the eventual splitting of Africa has been know since plate tetonics became widely accepted in the 60's. The next thing they'll tell us is that California is going to split off from North America.

That was the joke. Song219, I believe, said that Deadtigers' Voice-To-Text posts sound like lyrics from REM's first three albums. I pointed out that as a result, I invariably read DT's posts in Michael Stipe's voice.
