    Especially in recent years where follow was downgraded as a signal. What you get in your feed on insta, youtube, FB, threads, twitter, tiktok etc etc is mostly what the algo says, and not chrono follow.

    I came across an example of this epic cluster recently with "law tubers" in the context of the Delphi trial

    Law tubers are essentially defence attorney grifters who started doing daily 5 hour lives where they spread conspiracies about the judge, law enforcement, DA etc etc and within 48 hours were regularly getting over 100K views per show from nothing.

    Just a small but perfect example of how YouTube wrecks trust in public institutions over a double child killer.

    So my phone just pinged with an earthquake alert - off the coast of Eureka, so a couple hundred miles northwest of here - but then a minute later got a tsunami warning. So that's a thing that's happening here today.

    Oddly enough, I walked by his apartment this morning (Corner of Washington and Columbia). Though now that I think about it, I do that everyday I go to work.
