Moving them here as been the general practice over the last 8 years. Also, there are some pretty pathetic individuals on here that a throw away comment is enough to fire them up. There was a guy recently called Jonathan a shithead and stated he was always pleased to see him fail.
Karma? A privileged kid, with a privileged dad who tried to protect and promote him at every turn, who dismissed the Hertha GK coach on his first day for not seeing his sons incredible ability, and tried to bring him back! The popular coach was rehired the day after the phony was gone BTW. Karma or a really poor keeper who had his rich, phony, petty, vindictive dad give him shots he never would have come close to having in the real world? Not karma, just reality. I just returned from a trip to Munich last month and to say the general public has a different opinion of JK now is an understatement.
LOL. Speaking of petty and vindictive........ JK has been gone for how long now and we are STILL talking about this with such vehemence? Big Soccer at its finest.
' Perhaps because what Jurgen did to Donovan stands supreme not only as an example of the purest pettiness and vindictiveness, but above all as an example of a manager who places his ego above all else....including above an opportunity to set out our strongest possible team to make a deep run into the WC. It would have gone a long way to ease the sting of this in the memory of US Soccer fans if JK had shown a smidgen of reflective self-awareness since then. But no such balm has ever been offered. Instead all the years have brought is a doubling down, and a series of insults as to any who should dare to question the magnificent judgement of Jurgen Klinsmann. The decision to ignore all this is indeed Big Soccer at its finest.
Factual statement. Been like that his whole career. What is worrisome is how so many flock to someone like him even though there is little to nothing to suggest he has what it takes. Reason drowned out by celebrity. Lack of responsibility. Demean and attack those who question or criticize. The history of JK, even as a player was there to see, but he sucked so many in. Pretty scary and reminiscent of current times. He caused a lot of divisiveness and damage to protect his own ego. Sound familiar? He is gone but the damage he caused was considerable. Will people learn? They don‘t unfortunately. Pure BS is going back and reading the inane cluelessness defending an absolute charlatan. I have a feeling you were part off that. Of course you want to move on and forget. No big deal. JK is the epitome of what horrible leaderships all about. Keep laughing. You will be suckered again.
It was the power of our immortal leader Grimes! He raised himself ,and now he brings threads back to life! HAIL GRIMES!
It has been inactive for six years because another thread was created. I definitely apologize for bumping the wrong thread. You guys can move your comments to this one if you like. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/containment-zone-the-klinnsman-donovan-fault-line.2090665/page-20 Unfortunately, it has been over 8 years and a bunch of morons still can't stop their obsessions with Donovan and Klinsmann from ruining discussions in N&A.
so we have two threads; one that got bumped after 6 yrs and one that has been inactive for two years (please don't bump). Neither should be bumped...let them shrivel up and die. I had and have very little regard for JK, but I won't take it personal when someone says something positive about JK and bump this or any other thread to reply. I pledge to abstain from posting any thing else on this thread or the thread linked above from now to eternity. Please join me in this pledge. The country is divided enough, lets come together on this.
Hypothetically, if there were 26 man rosters for WC 2014, would JK have includes Donovan? Or were there 3 other players slightly ahead?
How did he lie? He was the manager. He picked the players he wanted to pick. Donovan wasn't among them. You may believe he was wrong, but as it was his choice to make, his wrong choice was the truth.
