No thanks. I was home sick from school one day watching TPIR. Mom came home for lunch and fried up some liver then took off back to work. By The Joker's Wild I was barfing in the bathroom.
My dad was a huge fan of mondongo, and he would always try to get us kids to eat it. I couldn't even deal with the smell
The the issue is with the influence extreme wealth can have on the government? I agree with that, but isn’t the issue with the political system and not with the individual wealth?
If the individual wealth is enough that it can help shape the rules of the political system then it is indeed a huge part of the problem.
Black cows are supposed to already be mad. Shit's been tight on them for a while... okay, I admit I don't really eat stuff with brains in it. And I wouldn't eat chitlins with your fork. But liver? Chicken gizzards? Yep.
Must, must watch, the George Carlin Documentary on HBO. Carlin was the master of his arts, a wordsmith extraordinaire and so ahead of his time. His comedy is still so relevant to what we are living today. He is missed. Here’s @StephenAtHome in a clip from George Carlin’s American Dream which airs tonight on @hbo and will stream on @hbomax. pic.twitter.com/OqgO0fcjKW— Judd Apatow 🇺🇦 (@JuddApatow) May 20, 2022

1. 2700 billionaires is 2700 too many billionaires. 2. I read recently that they’re still happening at about 1 per day. Every 30 hours we get a new billionaire. 3. What to do? Take away any money they have over 999’999.999 and have a congratulatory ceremony, with a medal, a badge and I’ll even throw a ticket to space if they want.
Mondongo is great, but yeah, you cannot be there when they cook it. Supposedly a piece of stale bread takes away the smell, but I don’t want to test it.
Oh, that bits easy. Take it off them in income tax that they actually have to pay and wealth tax that includes all their assets, (even if it's stashed abroad). All of these 'tax havens' should be closed down and the money included in a wealth tax on which they have to a slice. If they've STILL got $143m after all that... knock yerself out mate
You should try liver and onion in gravy. That's delicious https://www.hairybikers.com/recipes/view/liver-and-bacon-with-onion-gravy
Yeah, I loved George Carlin. I'm not sure what people would make of him if he were around today though.
Back when my wife was in sales, every time she went on a road trip. I’d go and buy a large carton of “good” Liver. Me and my big (150#) Malamute would feast on it for a couple of days using different recipes. ‘erp. Happy memories of big juicy sandwiches.
And the people with the money influence how that system is designed and/or prevent it from changing. We're in a vicious circle at this point.
