Lol! There's an Arab, Alabama, and it rhymes with "Ahab" That's one of those names that just sounds bad. Skaggs, Scruggs, Clutts, Buggs... You gotta say it like Vicki Lawrence would have on Carol Burnett- draw out the vowel when it's a u and in the case of Skaggs, you pronounce a very faint "i" after the "a". That also works with other vowels, depending on... nothing curricular. "Eggs" becomes "Aigs" but "Begs" does not become "Baigs"
I don't even know what "it" is. I can't tell a Magnum from a Blue Steel. Like away from the body. I've seen the "black leather raincoat that looks like a garbage bag" from three different designers.
Nah, you could argue that it's the Pats who are cursed, since the 2 guys hit were from NH and Lynn, Mass., north of Boston. Since they were sitting right behind the Patriots bench, I'm assuming they were away fans down in NY for the day. But considering the run they have had for the last 25 years, yeah, it's the Jets who are really cursed.
Chile has some funny ones: Peor es Nada – Worst is Nothing Entrepiernas – Between the Knees Reputo - Fcuking B!tch Salsipuedes - Get out if you can Purgatorio - Purgatory Quitacalzón – Take Off Your Underwear
One of the Mrs' best Sofia Vergara-isms is "better than never" Also "ear bugs" and "Cheese Noodles" (Cheese Doodles)
I only know what we have. I have no idea how I got into this field. I hated flowers and balloons before I started working with them. I still do, but I hated them then also.
Okay, I have been away for quite a while, but I am shocked by this comment, @spejic. As a former floral worker (although I primarily ran greenhouses, worked with interior plants and interiorscaping, back in the 1980's and 90's, I did quite a bit of florist work. I also worked for five years for a wholesale florist), if the flowers are dying "so fast," you are doing it wrong, pal. Other than peonies, most flowers should last a good long time if properly processed. Even roses should be good for a week plus if they are freshly cut at the time of arranging and kept cool. And I was in Chicago back then, not exactly a place for fine "fresh harvested" floral products.
I don't consider a week a long time. You can get a lot of yummy food for the price of a small arrangement. Or if you like decorations, you can get something more permanent. I'm pretty sure the abstract painting I made for my dining area costs less than a dozen roses all in, and it's been there for a couple years.
Sure, but orchids (although not Cattleya), carnations, etc. can last for several weeks. On the other hand, hibiscus, day lilies only last a day or so on the plant, so a week after being cut is not that bad. Oh, don't get me wrong, flowers being bought just to toss at the end of the night always made me sad. Although, people buying Azaleas and flowering plants just to toss them after a day was worse. Okay, I am done and heading back to my self imposed Red Card.
