As far as I'm concerned, every day is national coffee day.

 

Our local suburban miss scored #4. It makes sense that Pitchfork loves her -- impeccable indie credentials, as she was absolutely nobody before the album appeared and went back to that status shortly thereafter.

 

Our local urban queen in at #2....also beating Radiohead.

 

I always hoped when I poured my morning cup of coffee that it would taste as good as it smelt.

 

After coming off 3 different antibiotics that was a good read.

I got my first penicillin ointment on a wound on my shin where someone’s bike spoke went up after a multiple crash. It wasn’t healing but my buddy’s mom had this paste in a small jar. Cleaned it right up, I still have the scar to remind me after almost 70 years.

 

Marmite?

 

That was about the size of the jar.
But just an opaque cream.

 

I don't know why I read it because I was never "with it" with music, but I did and then I noticed something I have, and then another, and then another, and I was starting to think maybe I was with it after all. But I do not own anything higher than 133.

 

Not even Nevermind? Duuuude

Ya get all the way up K2 and you have to wait on line like you're at the DMV

Holy shit. That and the queues up Everest are just ridiculous. it used to be an event if a pair or small team summited.
I still have my book (among other Himalayan climbs) of Messner and Habeler’s Oxygen free climb. When it was considered an event.

I guess that last sentence was way, way off. Nowdays a couple of visits to your local gym on the stairmaster and a lot of money will get you in/on line to the top of the world.

 

It’s like bacon in that respect, taste can’t match the smell.

And yet despite that, both still taste fantastic.
