    I wouldn't characterize it as a "straight lift" but it's clearly an homage to it. Similar to the scene in Brazil.

    Cass died of a heart attack, and although the autopsy showed no drugs in her system at the time, it was reported she was trying to kick a substance abuse problem. The ham sandwich thing is one of those urban legends that just isn't true.

    American WW II hand grenades did not look like that. The Mk.2 grenade used in the war looked like this:

    which was based on the "Mills bomb" of the British forces of WW I. The modern Mk.67 grenade kinda looks like your picture, but I'm pretty sure that image is of a toy and not a real grenade.
