Much has been made of the difference between the south american and european approaches to the "beautiful game", however this question focuses on the approaches of the different leagues of the world. Basically, what are the different leagues known for and which is the "best" (i.e.- Serie A is often associated with strong defense and I've heard some people say that English Football is less technical)?

I think south american leagues are much more technical and tactical but they are also played at a much slower pace. In europe, Italy, Holland, and Spain are also very technical. From what I have seen of the Dutch League, they are very good tactically. England is not very strong with tactics and technique but then again they play at a very high pace. I'd say France and Germany are somewhere in the middle.
