CP has 50 and 51 games played for Milan the last two seasons. He started this season with his hair on fire and this is basically his first stint missing any real time. I don’t know that he’s that fragile, really.
He does seem to wear down when playing a lot of matches more than some others. But I agree. While he's no iron man, he's done enough to permanently break the "fragile" tag, in my opinion.
We keep saying this, but isn't one of the truisms of soccer transfers that big success at international tournaments is a terrible basis for buying a player?
I wasn't trying to link the two events in that way. I just think it would be an electric summer if he had a big WC and a big move to the EPL. I don't think a big move to the EPL hinges on a big WC.
NBC's today show interviewed Pulisic a couple of days ago. I think, some deserved attention from major American media. Also nicely produced, so he doesn't come off as boring as some like to complain about.
Pulisic subbed out In the 62nd minute. A few semi-chances that were defended well by Parma, and he ran his tail off. For some reason, passing connection with teammates seems off, felt like he should have received the ball a few more times but teammates looked him off. Not a bad performance, but slightly subdued and conservative. Not sure how much of that is Allegri instruction vs the player coming back into fitness and rhythm. nonetheless, I miss 2025 Pulisic and must-watch Milan viewing. The team looks like a squad comfortable in their UCL position and resigned to an Inter Scudetto
He is far from his top form... especially in front of goal. He missed a perfect setup around 10 yards out in the 1st half that should have been put home. What a difference an injury and a couple months make. I really hope he can find his form again leading into the WC.
With Jedi now a huge question mark and Wes looking really tired, I'm getting very worried about this summer.
Title race officially over, Parma win 1-0. Milan just need to stay in top 4, which they should, and hopefully Pulisic can coast and come into form Right before the WC. Milan so boring and devoid of ideas. And why do they play worse at home? So odd.
Just took a gander at Puli's net on/off stats at Milan vs Leao's. Wow. I would not recommend looking at them* *if you're a Leao defender
they’ve not been able to break the bunker teams all season, which is why they are a distant second. Maybe not bad, but certainly not good for a team with aspirations. Too conservative and not creative enough. And they gave up a goal. So actually, an argument could be made they were bad and wasteful.
Oddly enough... CP's hot streak ended against a bunker team where he connected beautifully with Fullkrug on two give-and-goes that CP missed one-on-one with the GK. He got hurt shortly afterwards and talk about him being the best in the league has turned to cricket-sounds. I saw very little of that inventiveness today from anybody on Milan's O... but I am starting to get bummed that CP seems to get his minutes with Leao and not Fullkrug.... especially against the low-block.

When are the supporters going to start chanting "SACK ALLEGRI"? I felt Allegri is still stuck behind while modern futbol has passed him by.
I'd argue the chance off the Rabiot header was more than a semi-chance and poorly taken. He could've/ should've done better with that.
Oh I agree, said so in the PBP. He tried to side foot it awkwardly, would have been better off trying to put his laces through it in the half volley. Rabiot appeared frustrated that it was not a better effort.
Everyone knows Allegri. However he has the club in 2nd place, which will mean the money from Champions League next season, so I doubt the ownership cares about his limitations.
