I thought Pulisic's movement really helped Milan. Opened things up. Truth be told, all 4 of Milans attackers (Nkunku, Rafa, Fullkrug, and Puli) are all beat up... Rafa still doesn't look right. That being said, I think Allegri needs to admit that playing Fofana with Rabiot and Modric (and RLC) just isn't good for going forward
The commentator on the CBS feed said something like “you wouldn’t expect that from such a seasoned veteran” and I was just like… did we all forget how he landed at Milan in the fist place???
No I don’t think it was his second yellow in the game. The suspension will have been because he had multiple yellows and will have had to sit out a match because of it. Then he kept arguing and talking and the ref gave him the red.
Sorry if I wasn’t clearer. Was Rabiot’s red card a free red, or will he serve a two-match suspension (for five yellows plus a red)? If free, then maybe it was worth letting off some steam, but if he doubled his suspension, then not worth it.
A website called Tribuna says he’ll miss one game and remain a yellow away from the accumulation suspension.
That’s actually a good policy. Doesn’t incentivize guys who know they’re facing a one match ban on a yellow from intentionally going “over the line”
Access Hollywood interview with Pulisic from a few days ago. Nice to see him get some acknowledgement from the American press that is over there for the Olympics.
The way it used to be, all the Serie A foreigners had a professor translating and teaching Italian language , syntax and grammar to the players. Knowing Italy, I doubt it has changed that much.
Kind of like regular HS and College students here, players may not care too much but professors translating and teaching do. That is what the clubs pay them to do.
He has such an "aw shucks" kinda demeanor but just oozes boredom whenever being officially interviewed. Really intriguing.
No Pulsic for the match vs Como tomorromow. This is getting a bit silly; at this point you have to think it is best just to shut him down for a month. Clearly he is not healing as expected, and this stop/start carousel he is on will be an issue and may cause problems closer to the WC. https://football-italia.net/allegri-pulisic-doubt-milan-inter-favourite/
While I agree with you, Milan does not care about the US WC. They need to win games, get points, in order to secure a CL spot and perhaps try to chase Inter for the league trophy. If CP is good for 15 min, they will use him for 15 min.
They used him for 15 minutes last match, and now is he likely out the next match. So seems to me it would be wiser to take the hit now and rest him in order to bank on extended availability to close out the season strong. but I am not on the inside, so who know what is going on.
It seems Milan had put a $95M price tag on Pulisic, for any EPL clubs that want to take him back to England. I am sure Milan will be happy to settle for around $50-$60M.
Not yet ... Pulisic is on the bench. Milan hosting Como 1907. Official Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic; Athekame, Jashari, Modric, Ricci, Bartesaghi; Nkunku, Leao. Bench: Terracciano, Torriani, Gabbia, Odogu, Estupinan, Saelemaekers, Loftus-Cheek, Fofana, Pulisic, Fullkrug
Pulisic subbed in with 16 min or so. Hard to tell, but yeah, seems like he is moving like a player not fully fit. Still, he had a few touches and a shot on goal at the keeper. Scudetto has pretty much slipped away from Milan, if that was not already clear. If they beat Inter in a couple weeks, maybe that will open up possibilities. But right now seems doubtful, and they seem like a club with a primary goal of just maintainig that top 4 finish for UCL.
Ok. I'm willing to admit that I did not expect Modric to keep on keeping on like he has this season. What does that dude eat for breakfast and where can I get it?
