Gazzetta dello Sport on Pulisic: “Three chances, three misses — but they’re three chances he creates himself, the first two with help from Füllkrug. He disappears after the break.”

That's pretty much exactly how I felt about CP's performance. If he puts 2 of those in, he gets a 7.5 and no one cares that he was quiet in the 2nd half. Oh well, on to the next.

Most fan outlets are claiming its normal rotation. I bet he's gonna get ~30' in the 2nd half, depending on the game situation (more if they're down, less if they're up by multiple goals)

Yeah, hopefully this is just some rotation, maybe tactical as well because they might see CP being able to do some damage against tired legs In the 2nd half.
Hopefully is not the start of Allegri subscribing to the Thomas Tuchel school of thought that Pulisic is better as a sub.

And with Nuku being the hero in the last match, he does deserve a start

Doesn't hurt that Fullkrug isn't 100%... pretty surprised he's on the bench tonight, the initial reports were "broken toe".

Will be an interesting match. Como and Fabregas style plays into what Allegri wants, absorb pressure and hit on the break.

Wonder if this is the hockey equivalent of being a healthy scratch. In hockey, that is NOT a good thing.

He looked warmed up and ready to go. Saw him warming up throughout the match.

Milan play in 3 days. I bet CP starts that one, been a busy week for them.

I missed the first half, but it's hard to overstate how bad Nkunku was for the 15' he played in the second half. No way a healthy CP gets benched... I suspect that Milan's ideal starting attack would be Leao / Fullkrug / Pulisic, but the press suspects that all 3 aren't at 100% health, so we'll probably see more rotation until they regain fitness.

I assumed he sat due to load management. He's played a lot of games....Leao also sits here and there...

From La Gazzetta dello Sport who reported the following:

“Because the hamstring he injured with the U.S. national team in October still flares up from time to time, Max does not want to risk losing him for a long stretch.”

But games are coming fast and furious for Milan. Its next game is Sunday against Lecce.

If the goal was to replace Giroud, then why bother with Nkunku / Santi?? Bizarre scouting decision.

IMO, the team looks better with Fullkrug on the pitch because he at least tries to do what Giroud was doing well: being a target man, often looking to play the ball with his back to goal, and making life difficult for defenders on 50/50 balls. I don't even think Fullkrug is one of the best in Europe at that style of play, but he's closer to the mold than either of the others.

Milan hang on for the 1-0 win. Pulisic and Milan struggled to create chances against an organized low block again.

Pulisic was denied a goal on a gorgeous passing sequence he initiated by a great save.

I'm annoyed Pulisic came off for Fullkrug instead of a barely moving Leao.

Will be interesting to see if Allegri is willing to start Pulisic, Leao, Fullkrug and Modric next week.

Without a formation change Pulisic could go to LWB or the bench.

Classic Fullkrug goal. Really good play by Sailmaker and NF does what he does from the 6 yd.

Really important goal for AC to stay in the race. Way too many ties already this season.

Lot's of CP in the highlight, and I thought Leao played a lot of very dangerous balls today.
