Well, or an accident might occur but I think that's the point. I didn't take him to be advocating for violence... I took him to be saying what might happen if masked, armed thugs are allowed to wander the street and violently approach people who, themselves, are armed.

As you say, it seems likely that might be Trump's whole plan.

So some ICEholes might get iced. Doesn't matter a whit to Donnie. Sacrifices for the cause.

I missed this but the Biden admin bailed out Teamsters pensions and they went and endorsed Trump.

At some point, the unions do need to be reminded of who their friends are, and it needs to be explicit.

The next Democratic administration has to very publicly reward friends and punish enemies. It has to make the larger point that Democrats aren’t down with unilateral disarmament anymore.

Like, every single “good government” bill needs to have an effective date of January 20, 2033. Even bills that pass in March 2029.

I'm really hoping that punish parts goes to one Rashida Tlaib and the Gaza people for one.

Biden and Dems were too nice to the likes of Sinema as well.

I think you punish those groups by the absence of access until they get on board, and save the real punitive policies for the Republican party.

This is my district. Mejia got the progressive big guns, Bernie, Warren and AOC, to endorse her and looks like she will eke out a win. Her lead is currently ~670 votes with less than 5,000 still to count. And with a crowded field of 11 candidates, she's looking good.

Amusing to see AIPAC commit the same kind of own goal as the 'Gaza is speaking now b*tch' people.

Update she’s got a lead of over 900
votes with 5,000 votes to be counted. If the result holds this is a massive upset.

Is this where we talk about how scary socialism is and how it'll lead us to fascism?

Mamdani gave a press conference announcing his pre-2k school for everyone. All 2 year olds will be able to attend without cost.

I can't think of too many politicians who could have this wholesome of a conference it's amazing. And it's just good policy.

Or we can talk about the video of him quoting the Quran in a way that anyone with a modicum of empathy will have no problem with.

Fascism is here already. This is where we talk about how socialism will be super helpful to the fascists come November.

3001. There is literally no real-life scenario whereby you socialists save us from the fascists. Not a single one. You guys won't ever learn. :(

A brave decision, that. The chances of being upstaged by very young children are incredibly high.

So you got nothing, outstanding. It’s really the only convo that matters (btw), how the Democrats come together in Nov to at least slow this shit down.

Oh look - the country's 2nd biggest city has an up-and-coming democratic socialist running

The Los Angeles mayoral race has just taken a major turn Saturday morning as City Councilmember Nithya Raman officially filed paperwork to enter the contest — mounting a late challenge to incumbent Mayor Karen Bass just hours before the noon deadline.

KTLA’s Carlos Herrera confirmed Raman’s entry after her spokesperson said she arrived at the City Clerk’s office and was signing documents to join the race.
