hmm. Maybe Real Madrids Training routines are suspect?
I remember reading something about Beckham complaining about not being in proper shape when playing with Real when he moved over there he was surprised at the way they trained or something like that.
and Now were hearing about Figo having to adapt to Inter training methods and getting in better shape, lately he does seem to be in some better shape.

He's right, I've watched RM train, and their emphasis has nothing to do with stamina. Stamina is left to each individual not with the team practices. They do individual work with the trainer, pretty insane if you ask me.

So players that are in ok shape will rarely be picked for the individual work.

Majority of the team training is consistent with a few drills, and a short field game.

Beautiful game Luis Figo had today for Inter on their 4-0 win. He had three assists, one crossbar, one side net.

Ran all over the field a constant threat with his bending crosses, starting to look better, and better.

mamma mia i think this is could be a sign to me.... :D

pauleta coming into form just in time for the world cup

ricardo quaresma is playing excellent just in time for the world cup

ricardo showing some promise now with sporting just in time for the world cup

luis figo getting into form maybe that new training technique got him in shape properly.

i think this is good news for portugal.

Exactly... Dont forget Nuno Gomes is in good form too.

Ronaldo hasnt been the same, but trust me after the winter break Ronaldo will dominate I can feel it, once he rests and stuff he will be ready. Remember he had to deal with his fathers death, the rape controversey, and the Benfica "F-- u" incident.

this a great time for portuguese players....

we need everyone to be alert with the players because players have to be cautious not getting hurt right near the world cup.

Figo says- Portugal can win the World Cup

    http://www.abola.pt/nnh/index.asp?op=ver&noticia=94021&tema=7

here is the nationals he likes to see in the finals, Portugal, Brasil, Sweden and Italy

Brasil because of the chain the holds the two countries together
Sweden the country of his wife
Italy - the country his playing soccer

Figo had 4 assists on the last game for Inter

    ahah I like Figo's answer.

I have a feeling Figo will have a better World cup than most people would expect. He's in better condition his last game for Inter was one of those classic figo performance.

i hope he doesn't pick up an injury like he did before the last world cup.

isn't fifa implementing a rule indicating that any player picked for the WC cannot play a club game after a certain date?

Figo with a fantastick month of December

    http://www.record.pt/noticia.asp?id=692080&idCanal=44
