CyberRays at Hotlanta, living up to its nickname with a league-best goal differential of +11 after going 2-0-1 to open the season. Your thoughts on the Founders' Cup 2001 rematch?
the cyberrays have the brazilians back, s who knows what can happen - katia is eagar to get a goal and with the roll she had with the brazilan national team, lets hope she can continue it with SJ. and SJ as a whole team will be eagar to get a win on the board, especially if its on the raod against atlanta - it would do wonders for their confidence. i will tip it to be a close game but i'll say 2-1 cyberrays
Hey tchmahoney..are you still working for Perkins Coie? ----- FWIW this damn match is only going to be carried on Comcast Sports South. Us DirecTV folks can't see it. I will be getting a copy of this match though sometime next week. Whew. ------ From CyberSoccerNews: San Jose Not Impressed by Atlanta With a healthier roster, the 'Rays look to unseat the Beat by Inge Bond Them are fighting words Mr. Foudy! ------ If Ann Cook gets to play the full 90 in this match I would guess that she scores about 6-7 goals. If she doesn't then the Beat win. VOTE FOR ANN COOK TO BE A WUSA ALL-STAR!!! ----- In the San Diego post-game thread one of the posters mentioned that the Cyberrays played "rough" cuz they figured out that the ref let them. I have no clue who is reffing this match but if it comes down to that, everyone is well aware the Beat can play this game as well. The Beat's outside backs like to be involved in the attack. Send the balls to the corners on your counter.
I guess I should have read Fear9 before my new thread. This doesn't make sense - Direct TV does get CSS, so why aren't we getting it??? Fear - Are you getting the tape FOR SURE???
You are mixing Comcast Sports South with either Comcasts Sportsnet or Fox Sports South. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. CSS is not available to anyone with a dish. The lovely melbrown is sending it to me on Monday. It should be in my possession by the middle of next week.
I don't get this comment at all. Of the three teams we (the Beat) have played, two are in 1st and 2nd place and the 3rd team is tied in points with the Cyberrays. If those are teams that haven't "done so well" then who is doing well?? ...and where does that put his own team?? He must've been practicing headers with Jules and whacked himself senseless!! As far as the comment about his team playing the Beat well in the past and that he knows what to expect... he will be very suprised because this Beat team is not playing like they did in seasons 1 and 2. They are playing a faster, possession style soccer...they are even less thuggish!!!

It's just too late tonight for me to look back at the author of the only correct look at this game. To you who said "what is he looking at" or something like that, congrats. Hasn't anyone figured out yet that we aren't doing poorly. We were just mistakenly crowned champions in the inagural season. Ian will never produce a winner. He has neither the temperment nor the people skills to create or sustain a dynasty. We could have the entire national team and be facing a team of hobbled seniors and we will never win( possibly a couple of matches where the other team is injured or tired, but not consistantly). Sorry just honest.
I'm not familiar with your posts so I'm puzzled as to whether this is sarcasm or what you really think. The thing with Sawyers is that he really was critical about the Beat and was pretty much offensive with his remarks. I've read comments that Coach Stone said about this game and he said that he feels the C'rays don't like us much, but beyond that he gives the team props saying that you can't go on history alone nor the C'rays record because they are a team that could definitely hurt you if you give them an opportunity. I'll find the article and post it!
