Agoos first made the curse in 1994 when buring his uniform after being cut from the national team. (Cut to Agoos on Beach buring his uni in tears) While doing that Agoos cursed the US defensive system. Little did he know he would later be back on the team and in the middle of the curse/ (Cut to Agoos F-ing up against Jamaica in WC qualifiers) The curse lingered and in 1998 the Curse was given the name of "Burns Highway". (Cut to Germany scoring in WC 98 as the ball passes between Burns and the post- Note both were seperated by a distance less than the width of the ball!) The Curse lingered and in 2002 it came full circle. (Cut to Agoos scoring an Auto-Golaso in the Portugal game.) The curse though backed off and stayed in the defensive realm in 2002. TODAY: The Agoos curse is back. (Cut to Berhalter being manhandled by Adriano in a defensive blunder and allowing the games only goal.) i cant remember what game, but in a friendly, pre-wc 2002, regis did pretty much the same thing berhalter did today. he was on the left side of the field and i dont rememebr seeing him play again since then.
It was Italy that Regis messed up in and it resulted in a goal. the game ended 1-0 too. i think the match was in feb, i know it was right before the ireland game.
Not the same at all. Regis got shoved with two hands and the ref didn't see the blatant foul (and I've got the replay on my hard disk to prove it). Berhalter didn't get fouled.
