Where those really cops, or just event security guards? I couldn't tell if any of them had guns strapped to their sides. In either case, the baton wielding @ssholes had it coming. It is one thing to subdue a drunk. It is completely different to baton the drunk into next week in front of thousands of spectators.
Nothing wrong with whooping up on the occasional drunk fan who is fighting back. The mistake these idiots made was doing in front of a bunch of other drunk fans. However, it sure as hell doesn't make the fans' actions correct.
