Here is my understanding of the tie breaker system for PDL Open Cup qualification: 1. Head-to-head 2. Total wins in Open Cup games 3. Goal difference in Open Cup games, up to three per game 4. Total goals in Open Cup games 5. Lottery conducted by USL How are the tie breakers applied to games in which one team scores more than three goals? Examples: May 9 - St. Louis 4, Wisconsin 0 May 10 - Kalamazoo 4, Toledo 1 May 21 - Toledo 5, West Michigan 3 What are the goals for and goal difference for purposes of the tie breaker for each team for that game? If only three goals for count per game, do only three goals against count in calculating goal difference? In the Toledo-West Michigan game, Does Toledo get three goals for, three against and zero goal difference? Does West Michigan get three for, three against and zero goal difference? Or is it three for, three against and plus 2 for Toledo and minus two for West Michigan?
To clarify: I realize that tie breaker number four is for Open Cup games. I forgot to add it in the original post.
