    I am fine with the change. The people have spoken...so to speak.

    I've closed the voting.

    The reason I made this a public poll is because I wanted to see who was voting for which option and disqualify the votes from non-Dallas fans who didn't vote for the last option. I also wanted to disqualify any sockpuppets.

    From the "FC Dallas" voters, I disqualified Chris_Bailey, Dave Brull, dranel, FCNYC, Greddy, MLSLinks, and Stilger -- seven in all.

    From the "FC Dallas 96" votes, I disqualified christhestud, gk0002, godalfree, IlliniFire, IrishQuake, LeeS, murtaugh29, NYR Metros, picaraza, and UxSxAxfooty -- 10 in all.

    For each option, there were several votes whose voters did not show up in the tally: 10 for "FC Dallas," 9 for "FC Dallas 96," 1 for "I don't care," and 4 for "I'm a fan of another team, so my opinion is worthless anyway." Since I have no way of knowing which of those votes came from FC Dallas fans and which didn't, I counted them all.

    As a result, the final vote was 38 in favor of "FC Dallas" and 33 in favor of "FC Dallas 96." The FC Dallas fans have spoken, and I'll request that the forum name be changed.
