Start winning and put the games on free tv, and the brand will be just fine.

that's an excellent analogy of 99% of all rebrands.

this one would be more like steaming a stale raccoon turd.

The more I see this team and how the FO acts the more I believe that any “rebrand” or “refresh” will mean team relocation, and unlike Columbus who have been good in the last decade, there will be no Save the Fire movement. This team is dead, and nobody outside of a few old timers (us) and nitwits (Don) will notice when it’s gone.

  7. Is the stadium deal with VoB so onerous that MLS would abandon the Chicago market to an independent USL franchise? The Andell/Mansueto/Rodriguez operation looks the part & smells the part.

This looks like it’s a done deal. Saw this URL on reddit; note where it directs you.

I'd look up to see who owns the domain. (at least it's SC and not FC I guess).

I have a serious question. If this whole rebrand comes true we would have to shut the Chicago Fire forum down. If that happens where would the mods go to suck balls?

I have a feeling Mansueto can afford what they’d want for the name.

If NYCFC is the MLS version of Manchester City, the real question is that does that make Chicago City Stoke City (“But can they do it on a cold rainy night in Soldier Field?”) or Leicester City (miraculously winning the league after facing relegation (wooden spoon contendership in our case))?

Guessing this is a fake, the "C" looks way too close to the Cubs logo, but I do like the idea of using the "star circle" element from the original badge.

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I don't believe any of this until it happens and there is confirmation from a reliable source, but that is f*cking awful.
