it looks good on the red background which is another problem i have with the current. you can't freaking see it.

not bad. i won't NOT buy something with this logo on it compared to the current awfulness. i actually kind of like that is has a white background because i don't think there are many in mls that do.

I'm not trying to be negative, but I think less of this one than the one it's replacing. The original one is far and away the best. This one looks like an amateur effort to me. Yuck.

I do like the wordmark. Just not the main crest. Again, yuck.

I’d like to see it on a jersey to really judge it. I’ll concede that it does look better on a red background.

I kinda agree, but it's within the context of a soccer team that is named Fire. The original makes the most sense and looks the best in that context. If you just look at it from 'a badge/crest' for soccer team, I like the current one- the shape is unique to the league and not a shape used by a bunch of firefighter unions, and the color scheme, while definitely not unique to the league, looks good together. It's the visually unappealing 'Fire crown' that really tanks it.

The new logo loses points for being yet another roundel logo, but at least is a color combo that's unique to the league. It makes sense for a team called the Fire, but doesn't work the way the OG did in that regard. It's also another 'let's just ape design elements from the flag' look that is a bit cliche and minor league at this point, and they don't even get that right because they have navy in there, which doesn't appear on the flag. I also like that it doesn't say Fire or FC on it, and think it will look good on a red shirt with a white hoop, so I'm not too mad, but a little underwhelmed.

I really like the new crest. Great use of the flag colors and the nod to the original Florian cross. For me, they did it right.

I'm guessing at least part of the answer is money. Still plenty of stuff with the old logo available on clearance at the team shop, over a year and half after it was shelved. I'm sure there's other reasons as well, and, knowing this club, some of them are probably stupid, but I can't imagine a logo that was selling lots and lots of merch to be considered for a replacement given the fact that all sports in the US are business first, everything else second.

Are we keeping the lakefront jersey next year or the navy one? I thought we were getting a new primary, but then, if that's the case, wouldn't we have to keep that for two more years and wait even longer for a red primary?

Just asking because I'm seeing the team post pics of the new logo mocked up on the secondaries and I'm kinda curious.

It probably looks better on a jersey than it does IN YOUR FACE on the Internet. It’s got issues but is better than the triangle RSL HYBRID we have now.

It's alright. Basically, it's okay. I'm not mad about it, which makes it Ten Thousand times better than the last one. Also no yellow.

it won't happen, but would anyone be mad if they made that current white kit the primary next year until we can get a red kit in 2024?

All the elements most of us wanted, if it was never going to be the original. It should be killer, but the execution just comes off as kinda soft.
