At the Chivas board, they're saying that the Oct. 16 superclasico has been moved to August 10. And since the X-Games are going on, it'll be played at the Coliseum. Boy, that's gonna be weird and interesting. Maybe Chivas are planning to move there next year.

I think we'll see 60k for that. There could be more if lots of Galaxy fans go, but there probably won't be more than a few thousand.

The Coliseum is a great place for a soccer game. At the international games, they allow flags, banners, and huge streamers. They have also invited independent food vendors to set up booths in the past.

Well that all depends on how many Club America fans show up to support their team and stick around for the 2nd game.

I can tell you one thing.........they sure as heck won't be rooting for anything related to Chivas

First off, it's the October 8th matchday.

Secondly, the X-Games take place the month of August. AEG bumped the game for a concert, which I believe is Greenday.

    August 10th at the Coliseum:

    CDCU vs Galaxy 7 p.m.

Guadalajara vs Club America 9 p.m.

Am I happy about this... Hell no!

    I'm mad!

I won't be able to attend the rescheduled match on August 10th. This means I am going to miss CDCU's best chance of beating the Galaxy in a regular season match this season.

I believe that CDCU's chances of winning would have been better in October after the reinforcements and current team members would have had enough time to come together as a team.

So much for having a soccer specific stadium. I thought the days of having to take a back seat to concerts etc. and rescheduling soccer matches like this were long gone.

What about CDCU season ticket holders such as myself... Where are they (we - even though I won't be able to attend) going to sit?

What about people who have paid good money to have access to the stadium club at the HDC; is the FO going to give them a free soda and hotdog in its place?

The more I think about it, this is just wrong!

    AEG did it again!

    Completely agree with bold.

But as to the rest, I thought this past weekend "was Chivas Best Chance".

Face the facts LA will not lose to Chivas USA, they own the entire Chivas franchise.
Secondly, by this game, LA will have added another foward, Plata rumored, and correct me if I am wrong, but Donovan should be playing that game, no?

Donovan should be playing -- his next USMNT WC qualifier match will be a week away on Aug. 17. He definitely would not have been at the Oct. 8 match as the USMNT has a WC qualifier scheduled that day.

Chivas beating the Galaxy - ain't gonna happen this season (if ever). If anyone should be concerned about relegation, it should be Chivas USA.

You guys should seek out the Americanistas in L.A. and form your own yellow/gold Army. For protection, if nothing else.

And they will do it repeatedly. At least until they recover their costs of building the stadium.

This is an excellent idea. I brought a bunch of my friends who are Club America and Pumas fans to the first Galaxy/Chivas match and several of them have become Galaxy supporters.

    Adopt an Americanista!

sorry you're so upset but having been with the galaxy for many years its something you just getused to happening now that they(AEG) have HDC. If they can make a buch or a million they will. I can its your 1st time it gets easier to take after the 3rd or 4th time. I am sure the Chivas FO has a plan for season ticketholders, I don't think this was to be released to the public until after the FO had announced it TM kinda goofed releasing this a lil early. IMO

Notice no one is complaining about playing an Open Cup match at the track field? Galaxy fans are already used to it.

I like the idea of a yellow/gold army. Some America fans wear their jerseys to the matches against Chivas USA already. I wasn't sure if they'd be cheering for the Galaxy, but quite a few have.

One couple was especially cute - he was wearing a Cien Galaxy jersey, and she had on an America jersey.

Im still angry that chivas usa moved in the the GALAXY'S soccer specific stadium. So, with that said, I dont see why chivas fans are complaining about not haveing the SSS when the GALAXY had to use the rose bowl(not a SSS) for the first SEVEN seasons. Its only one game, not seven seasons.

    I'm starting to get pissed..lol..
That link that everyone keeps showing for Ticketmaster always gives me "This event doesn't exist in our database" and I've found nothing about this on the net and the person in the ticket office of the Galaxy I talked to knows nothing about it.. I will call again tomorrow but this all seems like some bad joke to me since both clubs still have the Oct 8th match listed and not a word about it from either club..
I've emailed Chivas USA also so I'll know the truth tomorrow.. ;)
