http://mobile.qpr.co.uk//news/artic...ee-hoos-linford-christie-stadium-3564981.aspx A QPR stadium at Old Oak hasn't been declared dead, but this says the club have been "forced" to "consider possible alternative sites" based on "land acquisition and wider problems with the Old Oak regeneration." Lee Hoos responded to a press story that we are considering a new stadium at the site of Linford Christie Stadium (partnering with the track club that uses that site now). The article says such consideration is at a very early stage.
Ugh. Fernandes tenure at the club will be judged based on his handling of the stadium and training ground matters. 0-2 so far.
Good news on Warren Farm. QPR have permission to move forward. add a new training facility to the youth coming into the side and the future is beginning to look v. exciting. http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/qpr-warren-farm-ealing-council-3616861
"It doesn't matter what it costs. Right? You can have a wonderful meal in any caff providing you choose the caff carefully." -- Olly (1:41:04).
https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/work-starts-at-oaklands/ "...work has begun on 600 new homes in a joint venture between QPR and Genesis Housing Association," in Old Oak. So, we may or may not end up with a stadium at Old Oak, but we'll be involved in development there either way. "Fernandes also confirmed that the club is still looking at possible new stadium sites. Residential development to fund stadium construction has been used successfully by other football clubs to create stadiums that can be used all year round for a variety of commercial and community uses, generating extra revenue for the club." "Loftus Road is currently the third smallest ground in the Championship, and lies virtually empty much of the year as it is not suitable for significant non-matchday use."
The never-ending story isn't over, but didn't take a good turn for QPR today. https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/qpr-financial-fair-play-dispute/

QPR and Ollie part ways. Boo, I don't like this. https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-new...arts-qpr/?utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral
I don't like it either. I don't think you'll find someone who will get much better results with the little we're currently spending.
It almost read like "he was brought in to work with a team with limited resources, but now that we can spend more money we want a higher profile manager"
Its like the club is always reaching for something else; the grass is always greener on the other side. The thing is, the greatest managers were not always instant successes. How long did it take Sir Alex before he looked good? Six seasons He could never have found success at a club that changes manager every season or two.
I wonder how often the top soccer clubs in Europe change managers compared to the top clubs in other sports like in basketball's Champions League. European soccer clubs and national teams around the world change managers much more often than I'm used to from American sports.

I thought he did a phenomenal job from August through January. Wish this club would stop being a mess and build something sustainable.
I guess his fate was down to the health of the older guys. If Cameron and Rangel had stayed healthy, he'd still be manager. They didn't, so he's not.
Agreed. And this isn't even completely up to date Time to bring this back...#QPR in The Championship this seasonWith Geoff Cameron appearing: 13 matches; 24 pointsWithout Geoff Cameron: 24 matches; 19 points— Kevin | kotensixtysix.bsky.social (@koTenSixtySix) March 13, 2019
Ian Holloway doesn't hold back: https://talksport.com/football/efl/...xclusive-qpr-axing-worst-moment-les-ferdinand
In a perfect world, Ian Holloway. But I can see how that would be a bit difficult considering the past
I've just printed my ticket for the Ellerslie Road Stand v Swansea on the 13th. First time back in a good ten years. I'll be at Spurs new stadium for the CL quarterfinal on the Tuesday prior, and it'll probably be impressive, and all; but I'm guessing I'll be sat at Loftus Road thinking, "ah yes … this is more like it".
