I assume we all hoped Bhatia would buy out Ecclestone when the time came. This reads as if a 3rd party is involved, which would bring a new element into the mix. I'd hoped to go to the Premier League under the current board, even if minus Ecclestone.

Sadly, we are going to have to use this thread for worrying reasons...

A friend sent me this link, which seems to make a points deduction less of a concern; but I'm not taking anything for granted (I'm not even sure how reliable the site is; I'm not familiar with it*)...

As a new Queens Park Rangers supporter – at the start of this season (2010-11) - I noticed they’re doing well in the “npower” Football League Championship, currently held 1st in the table. Other than the possible points deduction by FA (I hope not), what is the QPR’s strength and weakness of their current lineup? And, can they compete successfully in the upcoming 2011-12 Barclays Premier League?

god, I hope all the predictions that we can't lose points are true. That would be so depressing

    I hope, I hope, I hope we don't get a points deduction.

If we get a points deduction...I would love to see us docked 10 points THIS season and still win auto promotion up to the Premiership. I would NOT want to see us docked 10 points to start our 1st...and probably last year back up in the Premiership after starting the season at -10 points!!!

Was stuck in a meeting, but got to see the last 15 today via MyP2P.
    falalalalalalalala.

    13 clear of third place.
I agree with dog: If you're going to dock R's points, FA, do it now. Not next August...

If one of the 3rd place teams gets a full 21 points, we'll need 8 points from 7 games to clinch automatic promotion (presuming they can't make up 23 or 24 goal difference in that period)! Nine points gained (or dropped by them, I guess) locks up promotion!

    1 QPR 39 40 79
    2 Norwich 39 21 70
    3 Cardiff 39 17 66
    4 Swansea 39 16 66

That's going to be some week! Surely they can't pull the rug out from beneath us the exact weekend we should be handed the Championship trophy? Hopefully all of this will lead to the announcement of a fine - and maybe some sort of punishment for Paladini.

That should be way to late for a points deduction, but there's no telling what the FA is capable of doing. :( It's got to be a fine and if they also keep Paladini away from dealing with contracts (or anything) that's not so bad. :)

If Queens Park Rangers, barring any shock or surprise from the future FA official ruling on this club, clinches the 2010-11 nPower Football League Championship and promotes to the Premier League in 2011-12 Season, how successful (or competitive) would be in terms of their strength? What are their needs if they have any weakness?
