New thread folks. I hear we will be playing in the Portuguese league, maybe Malouda would do well there.

Anyway, bit of a disappointing window. We sold off our backup LB and GK and brought in a winger who got the Golden Bin award. At least it's on loan.

all of our problems solved. we are going to be so much more superior to any team now, i think i might just stop watching EPL all together until next season.

For those who have argued that Scolari is not biased, what do you have to say to this signing of Quaresma? (an obviously failed player in the Serie A)

Decent window for us. We sold two reserve players and brought in a starter. If only we could've gotten a striker too.

    Serie A isn't the Prem.

No way in hell was it. We sold our backup LB whose normal spot is LB, our backup keeper to a local rival, and have brought in a golden bin winning player.

Realistically what would you have done different?

My reaction to the window that just closed:

    PS
That reaction could describe probably the last couple of windows actually.

Ok, so first it's unproven in the Premiership, now it's the Serie A isn't the Prem. I have nothing to say.

You don't want to watch us win the treble? The f*ck is wrong with you?!

Signed someone who wasn't a complete failure in a different/lesser league maybe. Something along those lines.

We got cover at both positions. Unfortunately in the goalkeeper position it happens to be Hilario and Rhys Taylor, but I'm sure we'll bring in a backup this summer. Maybe we can get Brad Guzan.

Failed? Queresma has been in Serie A for around 6 months.

That's the same amount of time it took Keane to go back to Tottenham. But is Keane a failure?

Cover at both positions? Name me a backup leftback at Chelsea that's half as good as Bridge.

And IMO, Hilario is quite good and I trust the guy to play for us when needed.

Did I say anything about time? No, I didn't.

He wasn't given enough time to adjust. I'll admit that I don't watch much Serie A but I mean really he should have been given more of a chance. I'm not complaining though!

Hmm, let's see. Mourinho dropped him multiple times for.....NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH. Want me to dig for the threads where plenty of the more respected posters here were trashing Quaresma?

Ivanovic and Ferreira. They also both have the perk of being able to play RB too.

    Yes you do, obviously.

The point is just because he blew in Italy playing for Inter doesn't mean he'll blow over here. The unproven in the Premiership argument means nothing. Everyone is unproven until they play.

I would only watch it if we'd still be in the Carling Cup.

That argument doesn't seem to hold much water here.

But be honest, are you actually happy about getting a player who is considering to be a primadonna, someone who doesn't even try in training, and someone who has been a failure in another league? I'm not.

....The perk? Ivanovic's perk is that he CAN play rightback. Ferreira IS a rightback. So playing leftback might be the perk, but playing in a position they're quite familiar with isn't really a "perk".
